Don't bother. It's a generic grinding MMO that gets boring very fast, even if you play with friends. The promise of 'transforming armors' is hollow, as you must first grind through 21 levels to get to the point where you can use them. THEN, you have to actually get the parts for the mech.

The only good thing about the game is that it's set in a sci-fi universe, a much-needed departure from the overabundance of fantasy crap.

Seriously, though, take it from me, don't bother with Age of Armor. I got into the beta, played it a lot, and wasn't impressed.

If you're looking for a GOOD free online mech game, try Exteel by NCsoft, the City of Heroes/Villains, Lineage, Guild Wars etc. guys. It's a fast-paced, action-packed third-person action game. Check out http://www.Exteel.com

Is the callsign what I should give you or my plaync name?

I haven't done the tutorial yet, but I'll play it later tonight. It says the mouse wheel does the camera rotation, our mouse doesn't have a wheel. Will that effect anything?

We have a laser mouse, but it has a usb connection and we can't get it to work :-(

Mouse wheel just spins the camera when your mech is standing still. Don't worry, it's not needed.

It's just to look at your mech in battle. As soon as you move your mech, the camera goes back to normal. It only helps more than it hurts, but it's sometimes nice to see your mech in different lighting.

And yeah, you use callsign. (Mine is an obvious reference to Gundam!)

Is anyone else above level 20? You have to be level 20 or higher to create a clan, and I happen to be Level 31.

Sorry, mate, I don't play as much as I used to. I'm around Level 14, I think. :?

Hrm. That's a problem. You'd have to be level 15 or higher to join a clan. I can start one, but I have to get rid of my clan...which consists of only me. That'll take a few days, for some reason.

Well, we can all just join your already existing clan. Or something.
Usually it takes a few days in case you change your mind, or some BS like that.

A few PROTIPs about this 'Exsteel forum':
1) It's written EXTEEL.
2) This is a thread, not a forum.

when it says Period 7 days, does that mean its gone after that, as in you're just renting it?

And some colors say period 30 days. so you rent a paint job?

Yep. After the time limit, it's gone. Certain things, particularly paint jobs and skills, are only ever time-based. It's best to go with the 30-day version there.

When the time limit on the paint runs out, whatever part is using that color, will instead become white.

No, I don't know how that makes sense in a real world scenario. It's a video game, don't over think it.

First select the item, then you need to select whether you want time-based or durability, and the payment method. (credits or NC coins) That threw me off when I started playing again.
