The trailer and an article.

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has taken the reins of the Castlevania series from fellow Konami designer Koji Igarashi for the series' latest title Lords of Shadow.

The game has been farmed out to Madrid-based developer Mercury Steam and brings together a star studded cast that features Patrick Stewart and Robert Carlyle. This is the game's latest trailer.

Hideo Kojima + Castlevania + Patrick Stewart = This is going to be awesome.

Eh, I have my doubts. I love Castlevania, but that looks way too much like Devil May Cry. The same style of fighting and the same environments. DMC is great too, but thats like putting ice cream on pizza they shouldn't go together.

My only problem is the setting. That trailer doesn't mention the names Belmont or Dracula, and that makes me a bit nervous.

It looks interesting.

But way too much Robert Caryle and Patrick Stewart. They are too much in it and not just being voice actors.
And I cannot abide Robert Caryle.
It does not look very Castlevania to me.
But it might be ok. Combat looks good.

But as I  have a policy of not buying games till they have dropped a lot I will know buy the time I buy it won't I.

I don't get what you're saying. Do you mean that the two voice actors with top billing have too many lines, or their characters are too deeply involved? Or are you saying that they're both big names that are too big for the roles?

I mean they are too much in the fore. It should be sold in this order. Game. Fightng. Big monsters. And right at the end, voice actors.

Voice actors should be picked for the game not be the centre attraction.
On Ghosthunter on ps2 you do not know that famous actors are in it till the credits. Alfred Molina and Jimmy Calverez in this case and possibely more.

I do like Patrick Stuart. But games I like a huge amount more. The trailer is promoting the game on a good actor and a rubbish one and a female I do not know, not it's fighting and monsters.
Voice actors should never be at the fore on a game.

Which is why half the trailer is them talking about the story in the game. The other half is showing Gabriel (And his last name better be Belmont) fighting monsters. (With what better be Vampire Killer)

I dunno, the series has been getting pretty stale. We've had six Castlevania games on the portable systems that merely emulated the success of SOTN. Regardless of who's in the game, the fact that Hideo Kojima (and not Iga) is running the show gives me faith in the product.

the trailer woulda sucked if the voices were at the end. The opening voices get u hooked into it really. Great voices are icing on the cake. I don't think the trailer was a blatant attempt just to showcase the actors, just an intro to the story. Many hollywood movie teaser trailers do this too, they don't want to give away too many visuals right off the bat, they wanna build suspense.
