A downloadable expansion pack is in the works for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen which will include ten new characters, three new maps and a new difficulty mode, Activision announced this morning.

The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 pack, which is being developed by Luxoflux, hasn't yet been priced.

Here's the full break down:

More than ten new multiplayer characters including ultimate fan favorites such as G1 Starscream and movie favorites like Sideswipe.

Three new multiplayer maps.

Play new characters in both the Autobot and Decepticon single player campaigns.

New Expert difficulty mode with a fresh set of leaderboards to challenge more experienced gamers in the single-player campaigns.

New Achievements and Trophies to earn.

Sweet! Sideswipe was one of the ones I was looking forward to.

They will probably put G1 Optimus in it too. I dunno how they would do G1 Megatron..
I am glad they are putting some time into making the game better. I need to pick it up now.
Sideswipe was awesome in the movie, looking forward to playing as him. I wonder if they will let you be Ravage or Soundwave or the Arcee team.

I doubt Soundwave will be playable, due to his role of doing stuff up in space. I sure hope Sideswipe has his wheeled feet. If he just walks and stuff, I'll be sad.
