Xbox Live Gold Membership reverting to Silver, will it extend the expiration date? I have a 12months Gold membership but my xbox just had a case of ROD. I'm not planning on replacing it with a new xbox till a month later. Will reverting my membership to Silver extend my Gold?

No. You cannot put a hold on your Gold subscription.

I have no more idea about how to reverting membership to silver. But i would like to say that you can ask the question to administrator where you want to reverting. There are different way for silver but you have do some formalities.
