Assassin's Creed Revelations
GAME.OVER!
Ezio's jaunt to Constantinople ends with a forsaken prize, a bowing out of Ottoman politics, but an Italian redhead. So overall, a plus. :x

Incidentially, I found what Shadowman was referring to earlier. One of the developers stated that Ezio and Altair are both Desmond's ancestors, but are from different sides of the family. Distant cousins, basically. Can't say I agree with this interpretation but the producers have made it canon so can't exactly argue. Oh well. Moving on.

Resident Evil 5
I recently as in just yesterday, I finally have RE5 and this is the gold edition so it has all of the DLC with it and started playing it. I beat the first chapter. And about to go into chapter 2.

Related note: I just tried the demo for RE6. It is pimp as hell. Leon's level was the best, it brought back traditional Zombies, as well as putting more focus on dark, creepy atmosphere. Chris's level was even more action-y then 4 and 5, and Jake--you know what, screw it, Sherry's level was cool just for being able to play as Sherry. (She went from a scared little kid to a hot blonde not afraid to jump up and kick a zombie in the face) Definitely going to pick up the full game, once I'm done saving up for Borderlands 2.

You should definitely buy RE6. I just finished all the levels, and am currently playing through to unlock skills and save skill points. It's got it's own issues (mostly limited to QTE's, forced camera angles and the fact that enemies continue to approach and attack the player even during a cutscene) but it's certainly an awesome game.

Four story lines and seven players to choose from, each with their own unique set of weapons.

IMO, its a definite improvement from RE5, although Mercenaries has gotten much tougher than RE5's. Enemies get more and more aggressive and numerous as your combo chain grows, and you can't use any of the techniques learned from RE5 Mercenaries game. You can't do quick reloads from inventory while climbing stairs since the menu's been redone, and no thanks to the physical gauge, you can't do endless physical attack anymore).

There's separate list of skill points to buy just for Mercenaries, but they're not half as useful as the ones available in campaign.

In short, much better campaign mode, but unnecessarily tough Mercenaries mode.

If it wasn't a problem is the first five games... ;)

Which reminds me, I have to pick up Code Veronica on PSN as well...

Hahah, you'd think that. :D

The forced camera angles this time around also happen during QTE's, and can get downright disorienting the first few playthroughs.

I've played the demo for 6 also. I like how you can move and shoot. And I also have to get CVX. There's still a number of games I have played in the RE franchise. Umbrella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles, Outbreak 1 and 2 and CVX. I've played Dead Aim though. Alot of people don't know about the FPS Resident Evil.

Honestly the ability to move and shoot wasn't something I particularly cared about. if they patched the game to remove it, fine. I didn't need to move and shoot when fighting Tyrants, or Birkin, or Mr. X, or Nemesis, or Saddler, or Wesker. I mean, it's useful for scanning around corners, but otherwise, not a tactic I really needed.

Sure it's not really needed. But it's a thing I like about it.

The worst thing is that it makes absolutely no difference in actual gameplay. You move too slowly to dodge enemy fire. It does look nice and dramatic as you enter a room while aiming, though.

Honestly, I don't even know why they bothered implementing it. Quick dodging is the only effective way to avoid lunges and boss attacks.

Borderlands 2:
'Cause there ain't no rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good.

JUST bought it, JUST bought Gaige, JUST starting as her. Played a bit as Maya first, though. This game is the first game, but 1000% more awesome.

If I've never played the first Borderlands before, would it be confusing jumping into the sequel. While I won't be buying the game any time soon (planning on getting Hitman Absolution first), I like to keep a list of potential games to get at a later date.

A little. The first game was pretty light on story, but the second one drops tons of references to it. I would definitely recommend you play them both in order.

Thanks for the heads-up.

The first Borderlands is pretty old, so I'm not sure if I can find it. Which puts me in a quandary. If I bought the sequel and can't find the first game, playing the sequel could confuse the hell out of me. But if I passed on both, I might have trouble finding both when the sequel gets sold out.

Might have to pass on both altogether.

Thanks, anyway.

Was not a fan of Borderlands 1, even though I played it all the way through. Nothing else need be said.

Dragon Age 2
Still trying to build supplies for the Deep roads run. Main story points are that I've encountered both anders and Fenris but haven't run their missions yet. Working on an on-going quest to track a lost mage boy.
Went for variety in my character design. My Warden (locust) was a male City-elf Warrior templar spirit mage. My Hawke (Buggina) is a red-headed Dual-weilding rogue. Let's see where this goes.

FEAR3
GAME.BEATEN!
Finished the game as Point man and earned 'favorite son' status. Ran a mission as Fettel to try it out. Fun, but not worth replaying fully. Moving on.

XenoBlade Chronicles
Still in love with this game. My battle in allahad fortress brought an entire chunk of the Mechonis crashing back to the world below. In the process, I rescued a lost comrade but have become separated from the others. Time to get searching.

New Super Mario Bros
i keep forgetting I have a DS. yeesh.... Played up through world 5. All star coins so far and found the cannon to world 8.

No it isn't, it came out in 2009.

Borderlands 2:
Made it to Sanctuary (A town mentioned repeatedly in the first game, but never shown) to meet up with Roland, only for Roland to drop off the map as soon as I got there. Working with Scooter to make Sanctuary (Actually a mining ship) fly, learned the finer points of elemental weapons from Marcus, and learned about Eridium from Dr. Zed, Tannis, and Crazy Earl. Yeah, the gang's all here.

Where I'm at, it might as well have come out in 1940. The maximum availability of a game here is approximately three weeks max before it becomes sold out. Don't ask me why; it's just the way it is.

I don't like buying online either, as it's usually a hassle to get a defective copy exchanged, having to mail it back and all that.

Steam is digital distribution, they can't give you a defective copy because there is no copy, it's all downloaded right to your computer. And if you don't want to play on PC, PSN also has the game for download. (As well as the GOTY version) Xbox Live Marketplace...maybe? I don't know.

Borderlands 2:
You know how in the first game, it was all you in a fight? And NPCs would stand on the sidelines? Yeah, met the Firehawk, oops, I mean freakin' Lilith and teamed up with her to fight off a wave of bandits. And yes, teamed up, as in, she actually fought them as well. Apparently she's got her Phoenix perk, which is pimp. Found out, no, she hadn't kidnapped Roland, but she's gonna help us get her boyfriend back...yeahbutwhaaaaaaa?

Coincidence! i bought Borderlands and Rayman Origins1 but didn't got a chance to play because of exams, i am still awaiting Borderlands 2 arrival.

Borderlands

Picked up Ronald, i found that funny Claptrap robot, met doctor zed, got some old guy's food, killed skags and bandits and attacked by a Pyscho, it's the freak on cover! currently LVL 3

Rayman Origins

the old memories of Rayman, this is the best 2-D platformer i played since Sonic Generation's Classic Sonic Stages, and the only Rayman game i played since the ol'Playstation 2 games...finished 2 levels, rescued some fairy that gifted me the power to punch stuff (?)

I never bothered to register at PSN (good thing I didn't, since their servers got hacked last year). But maybe I should give it a try and download Borderlands. Here's hoping lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place.

BTW, would it do any good if I delete the account after the purchase, or will they still retain my info in their database either way?

I wouldn't bother deleting the profile, it would just prove to be more trouble than it's worth. And the whole hacking thing, while serious, was blown way out of proportion. Master Card and Visa both went on record saying that they had no records of anything related to identity theft occurring because of the PSN hacks. People just freaked out because they didn't know what was stolen. Basic profile information like names, e-mail, and passwords, which were rendered useless when Sony shut the PSN down, and are even more useless now.

Short version: The PSN is safe and last year's hack wasn't as big a deal as a lot of stupid, paranoid people made it out to be.

Borderlands 2:
Sanctuary took off thanks to Lilith phasewalking the entire city while it was in the air. Stole a Hyperior requisitions beacon to get a Fast Travel node, so I could get back up there. Now I'm running side missions.

Roland: "Good, you're not dead."
Lilith: "That's his way of saying 'Wow, you're such a badass, great to see you're still alive!'"

Borderlands 2:
Did...well, lots of stuff. Liberated the town of Lynchwood from its evil (She killed a puppy just to prove a point) and yet outstandingly hot Sheriff. Screwed up Opportunity, a Hyperion-built (Well, WIP at least) city, including cutting down a bunch of Handsome Jack statues for Claptrap, destroying the new, Jack-owned Underdome for Moxxi, and splicing together the world's worst tourist video for Lilith. Now, I've got to go assault a Hyperion outpost holding the Vault Key.

Lilith: "If you don't make it back, I'm going to be pissed."
Roland: "Noted."
Lilith: "And if you do make it back, I'm gonna tear all your clothes off..."
Roland: "Also...noted."
Mordecai: "Ugh! We're standing right here! No one wants to know that!"
Brick: "Go on..."

Good to know. Since it's DLC, I won't have to worry too much about it being sold out. Probably take my time downloading it.

For now, Hitman Absolution takes priority.
