Well, I am completely uneducated when it comes to hooking up gaming consoles to a computer. First of all, what do I need to do to get Xbox Live? Second, if I did decide (and was able to hook everything up) how would I get those downloadable characters & stages for SW Battlefront 2? I kinda miss Bespin & I also want to play as Kit Fisto & Asajj Ventress. Help please.

If you have a 360, you can get X-box Live silver for free.

However, if you have a regular X-box, you need a credit card and $50 for a yearly subscription.

As for the whole downloading Kit Fisto and that stuff, after you get X-box live, slap in the game, go to X-box live, should be on the menu, and then downloads.

The downloads may cost money. Depending.

Okay, question. Am I able to pay via Paypal, that would make it soooo much easir for me. Additionally, after I download what I want to, will it be in the game permanently, or just when I'm on Xbox Live? I'm so illiterate w/computers & gaming consoles together. Damn.

*edit* Can I just pay for a month instead of a whole year? I just need this long enough to download a few new stages & two new characters.

It will be on your system permanently. I don't know the payment plans, I know it just used to be a year for $50, I don't know if they allowed monthly payments.

Yes you can do monthly payments. You just have to remember to cancel before the next month is renewed. No you cannot do it through paypal. All of Live subscriptions can and should be handled through the console. Also of note, you should automatically get one month free of Live Gold. All 360's come with that standard. The best thing to do is just look at the instructions that came with the system. It couldn't get any easier than reading 3 pages.

Ah, well there we have it. I don't have an Xbox 360. I have the old model. So I can just set everything up using just my Xbox? I have to subscrive online first though, right?

Yep, you can set everything up through the X-box, just need to subscribe to X-box Live first.

Ah I missed that. I got Live by purchasing one of those Live Starter Kits from Best Buy. Gives you the headset, the install cd and either 3 or 12 months of Live. The 3 month is $40 and the 12 month is $70. But if you only need it for a month I believe you can do it all through the Xbox itself.
