Game extras

Do you try to accomplish all the extra bits and collect all the extra items your first time around, or save that for a replay? Do you play any unlocked features once you're done? Assume this question is for a game that's good enough to have replay value, because the answer is obvious for bad games.

I save the extras for replay. Usually. And, playing unlockable features? Depends on the game. I've played Mercenaries in RE4 to death (probably more than I've played the main game), but on some games, only the main content is replayable.

What I used to do was pick up what I can and beat the game then go back and collect the things I missed. Nowadays I don't bother collecting all the extra stuff unless the reward is good enough, which it usually isn't.

I really only do that for games I enjoy.

COD, Halo, Force Unleashed....yeah i'll go back.

Other games, like GOW...not so much.

Time is always an issue and I rarely go for 100% anymore, but if I really enjoy a game I do put a lot more time into exploring. The only usual exception is a game where the 100% mark is clearly established and realistic, such as a Mario game to get 120 stars or star coins.
