Swordquest: They don't make 'em like that anymore

Just got done watching the new Angry Video Game nerd, about Swordquest for the 2600. All I can say is DANG!!! It's argueably the coolest promotion ever.

For the record, the video's just a couple hairs over nine minutes long, and only has a few swear words in it, so the only offensive parts would be in the intro. However, if any mods need me to remove the link, that's cool.
But here's the gist of it:
-There are four games.
-Each game comes with a comic-book.
-You play the game, and find hidden clues within the game. Each clue would be a number, like 14-4 or something. So you would go to page 14, panel 4 of the comic and find a hidden word. There were 10 hidden words in each game(or at least in the first one).
-You would then have to use those words to assemble a sentence, but only five words were needed, and a clue would be hidden on the first page of the comic.
-Once you assembled your senetence, you sent it off to Atari, and would be eligable for the contest if you got it right.
-The contest was basically a custom game that you had 90 minutes to finish.
-If you won the contest then you got a prize, in this case, an honest to goodness gold crown, chalice, talisman, or philosopher's stone, one for each game.
-The four winners would then come back and had the chance to win an actual jewel encrusted sword.
Alas, only three of the four games made it out, and only two prizes handed out. The other three prizes were made though. But still, this sounds like one heck of a promotion. With the internet and all that it'd be hard to make it work, but what do you think?
For me personally, I think it would be fantastic if something similar would happen again today. I would be all up for it. The hype alone would probably make the game a best seller.
