When I first heard about the Lego Universe MMO, I thought it would be a giant online community building stuff. Almost like dumping Lego sets in a virtual playground and having tons of people building anything they wanted.

Then I saw the trailer, which is almost the opposite of what I was thinking. I was surprised to see it's like World of Warcraft... with Lego knights, ninjas, pirates, space guys, futuristic race car drivers, and regular city folks all at once.

This could rock.

I'm in the Closed Beta. I can't say much about it, but it feels very, very fun. Plays sort of like the Travelers Tales Lego games, but as a modern PC RPG.

Veery interesting, I wonder if the Space themes are featured in it?

Well, there are Space items, characters, and environments. The tutorial level is a space ship you need to escape from.

I have no idea how to feel about this. Looks like they're trying to keep the humor and style from the Traveler's tales games, which is definitely a plus.

I got an invite to the beta, and will attempt to log in later today (but I might have better things to do since I'm turning 30 today)... I'm hoping it 'feels' akin to the Lego SW/Batman/Indy games, since I've enjoyed them so far..

It does feel that way, which is great! The servers are up today until 9PM Eastern, I think. Plus, some new content is in. I can't wait to get home.

I'm beta testing too, unfortunately I've only been able to play for a couple pf hours because the hours you can play are so limited and always fall in when I have to work.

New content goes up today - the forest/pirate area. Hope you get a chance to try it out soon!
