Game series you'de like to see resurrected

Yea title says it all, is there a game series that seems to be dead you would like to see brought back?

Well I have the following:

Medievil:
Playstation platformer about a dead knight by the name of "Sir Daniel Fortisque" who died in battle against the invading evil wizard, the legend has it that he utterly destroyed him in mortal Combat while in reality he never even faced him. He has been resurrected to earn his place amongst the heroes while saving the world from an evil sorcerer.
So far there are just two games with the first one having a remake for the PSP.

The series has much potential and would fit right in in today's dark humor Zombie loving time.

Legacy of Kain:

Seriously this series is awesome, gentleman Kain is killed by robbers while camping during his travels just to be resurrected as a Vampire. He hates drinking blood but the more he does and the longer his mission of vengeance takes the more he likes it and ends up as king of the Vampires and the dominant species of his land. he also causes chaos utterly changing the face of the world. Also the sereis tells the story of Raziel, Kain's first sun and lieutenant, who is betrayed by Kain and given the death penalty only to come back to take Vengeance.

Why would this series kick ass today? Because most of today's mature games borrow elements from this classic series plus Vampires are big these days plus the damn series needs to be continued. Basically Hack-slash games like we know them today like God of War wouldn't even exist without this series.

And yours?

Chrono Trigger, considered one of the best RPGs ever made, has not been given a true sequel. Oh sure, they made Chrono Cross, but the main cast of the first game is downgraded to mere cameos. And they did that really nice port on DS but again, that's not a sequel.

Earthworm Jim. I don't need to justify this.

I know technically it doesn't count as resurrection, but a bunch of Final Fantasy games have been getting sequels and spin-offs, and I can't be the only one who wants to see the cast of VI getting some more attention.

MegaMan X series. There's a big unexplained gap between X8 and Command Mission, and I'd like to see some more time spent in there.

Yes a thousand times Yes! Chrono Trigger needs to be brought to nextgen consoles. It was such an epic game!

Huh, it seems like ask and ye shall more or less receive. Hope they go through with both of those, V and VI were two of my favorites in the series.

/agree

Its not a dead game franchise, but Gears of War 3 will be the end of the series and honestly, i'm such a huge Gears head at the moment, that i'm praying the story of Marcus, Dom, Cole, and Baird doesn't stop with the next game in the series.

Contra 4 was released in 2007 on DS, and Contra ReBirth was released on WiiWare last year.

Are you sure you mean 7? In the last six years, they released Advent Children, Advent Children Complete, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, Last Order, as well as seven novellas, an OVA adaptation of one of those novellas, and a re-release of the original game on PSP. In fact, 7 has had probably more spin-off and sequel material than the rest of the games in the main series (Not you Tactics, sorry) combined.

EDIT: Also, Dissidia included Cloud and Sephiroth, while Kingdom Hearts featured them, Aerith, Yuffie, Tifa, and Cid.

I was going to say Blaster Master, but I just found out about Blaster Master Overdrive for the Wii. Too bad it didn't come out for XBL; it looks like a sweet game.

Nintendo DS - this or next year. Announced at last years E3 - check Youtube for the video! :D

I'd like to see a new Ultima title, non MMO (hate the things), with the same character system. They could take the opportunity to reboot the series, by having a *different* Avatar.

Gauntlet. The death of Midway last year is going to make this very improbable, but I'm a huge fan of Gauntlet and would like to see something for the DS or Wii. I know the DS had one planned\in development, but that seems to have gone into development hell, never to return.

Definately the Sly Cooper games, its my favorite game series of all time, and the company had to go ahead and make that poopy game Infamous. Alot of people like it, but not me. I heard they're supposed to start Sly 4 after Infamous 2, I just hope I can last that long with out suicide... :BOOM:

What exactly didn't you like about it? I mean, aside from the fact that Sucker Punch made it instead of working on another Sly Cooper game.

Well, I went into the game knowing that I was going to hate it because of that fact, that had somthing to do with it, but I dont like the way that there are bad guys around every corner. I wanted to just run around the city and take out a few(optional)bad guys. Im used to a Spiderman type game when your in a big city. Go anywhere, do anything, but the bad guys are whats holding you back. And they're not super villains either, just ordinary guys with guns and hoods and you die from like 5 shots. If you could stand a couple of bullets or dodge them, it wouldnt be that bad. And the controlls seem stiff to me, I cant place my finger on it but they do feel stiff to me.

But there are some things that I like about it: You get to kill innocent civilians  Somthing Ive always wanted to do in a game like this. I also liked the decision making, it reminded me of Spiderman Web of Shadows, where every little decision you make brings you to your ultimate destiny. It was a far better game that I had hoped, just for the sake of saying that SP should have stuck with Sly. The company tried to expand to a larger audience, I have no problem with that now, but its just not for me. Like I never heard of Insomniac until Resistance. But when I first heard of it, I was outraged, but now that I've settled down, ive come to open my eyes and realize its just a game.

Alternatively, you could just shoot them back. You have electric-based powers, use them. Health is, literally, everywhere. One of the buttons (And for the life of me I can't remember which) will highlight anything you can drain for health. (Enemies can be drained for health, by the way)

Spider-Man is pretty much the only superhero GTA-type game (That I've played, at least) where you won't get attacked outside of missions. Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Prototype, (Which are both essentially the same game with slightly different powers) Assassin's Creed, Infamous, all of them feature enemies who can and probably WILL attack you at any given moment. The solution is really simple: Kill them back, like every game ever made.

Yeah, but in those games you can get away if you wanted to. Here your forced to fight weather you want to or not. You can climb buildings, but they'll just kill you. Like Prototype, you can walk around undetected and not get shot at until you use your powers or get rid of your "disguise" even after you can get away if you wanted to.
