Transformers: War for Cybertron challenges players to become the ultimate weapon as a TRANSFORMERS character in the final, epic war that will determine the survival of their entire race. Armed with a diverse arsenal of lethal, high-tech weaponry and the ability to instantly convert from robot to vehicle at any time, players will engage in heart-pounding battles on land and in the air in this gripping, 3rd person action shooter set in the TRANSFORMERS’ war-ravaged homeland. Complete with several multiplayer modes, Transformers: War for Cybertron allows gamers to play through story missions with their friends in drop in/drop out online co-op, and also create their own TRANSFORMERS character for competitive head-to-head multiplayer modes, choosing among four distinct character classes, personalizing its look and selecting from a huge variety of weapons, skills and abilities.

Sweet! I reserved this game for wii a couple of months ago at my local gamestop. Does anyone know if the wii version will also have online play? I'd also like to know if it has the same playable characters and story. I hate when I see trailers for a game that comes out for all systems, and when I finally get it, I find that nintendo's version is really watered down ... I'd at least like to know what I'm paying for.

I wonder how much characters each player is able to make? Alot I hope, that'd be sweet. I'm hoping at some point, like as DLC or in the sequal they'll introduce triple changers, that would be awesome.

Hate to say it, but it will be a completely different game and I don't think it has the same online play that the PS3/360/PC versions will. Last month it was made known that the wii version of Tranformers: War For Cybertron is officially watered down and called Transformers: Cybertronian Adventures. Nintendo feels that having War in the title is too strong for any of the target audience they are aiming for.

So you can pretty much bank on a much different game. High Moon Studios doesn't have anything to do with the wii title save the designs as far as I know.

Wii version looks better in the box though...might be the best place for it, of course. (the silver lining on the cloud is toxic mercury?)

as to this video, I'd have preferred they showed more of colouring the characters, as it seems like there's a few options, but more info would be better to help me plan which characters I could make. guns n stuff? I know there are different ones, keeping on telling me this isn't particularly exciting in a video. I want to see things, not see a guy telling me things!

anyway, still looking really good.

The main problem with the Wii version is that it isn't capable of the same level of graphics while maintaining similar game performance as the PS3 or Xbox. One of the main games that demonstrate this is "Ghostbusters". The games play completely differently. Personally, I'm a graphics hound...I like my hi-def gaming. The more detail, the better. That's why bought a PS3...the detail is so much better. The programming language for the two consoles are also very different.

The one thing i haven't seen yet is how you can customize your character's appearance...otherwise, everything is just flippin AWESOME!

Ever since the Gamecube, its pretty much a well known fact that Nintendo caters to the mainstream, PG crowd. They tried this whole Resident Evil thing and it just kinda flopped, because the gamers interested in playing it already had PS2s and xboxes. Not to say the Wii is bad. Super Smash Bros is pretty cool and so is a few other IPs they have....but yeah....gritty war anything, definitely not on the Wii.

maybe gritty war keep-fit on omaha beach in the present day for people's mum's on the wii?

Anyone familiar with the saying "to good to be true". There are loads of things out there that I love and are better than I can imagine. I have waited all my life for a live action Transformers movie, so I can see my favourite designs, characters, and childhood dreams brought to life, only to be let down. A transformers game, in the past would never have met these requirements as the graphics could never really acheive the life I wante dto see. Today all this is possible and not only can I see it I can ontrol it. Everything about this game sounds so good, I'm not totaly happy with the designs but they still follow certain G1 rules, and other series even the bay movie, but cybertron is metal and looks like how it should look.
The aramada game on ps2 was amazing, I hate armada but the game was pucca. I can't beleive peple haven't given it more praise, the game was so well made and the levels were so well thought out and it had some really clever features and moments. If this new game is anywhere as close then I will be happy just for the graphics improvement.
I hope all these new gameplay features will give it a longer game play lifespan, as once armada was clocked, then a few more attempts and no matter how good a game is, you just get bored.

Ya' know... I wish they'd hurry up and make a new system... I've been a long-time Nintendo fan, and I've always loved their games (such as Smash Bros., Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., and how they're the company who gets most of the Megaman games), but I'm sick of having to deal with the lousy versions of games lately... Just because a wii has the pointer and motion controls doesn't mean you have to use 'em (my quarrel with the 2007 TF movie game), and just because it doesn't have the graphic capability of the Xbox doesn't mean they have to make it look like a stupid cartoon (I mean YOU Ghost Busters). I know there are tons of people who own wiis but are hard-core gamers as well... Yeah, I kinda expected a different version of WFC since it was only listed for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in gameinformer, but I'm sure it will still be a good game... I HOPE so anyway... I know 'GEEWUN' is gonna buy it for PC when it comes out, so at least I'll get to try it out and compare it. Thanks for the answers guys

Who do they got voicing Megatron? I did not recognize his off the bat, Optimus sounds like Peter Cullen. Thanks for the info guys.

Wii has the ability to make a game with good graphics, but with the main audience being "widdle" kids who don't care about graphics then they water it down and focus on the "fun" factor. Too bad their games aren't really that fun. The Wii version will most likely NOT have multiplayer.... Sucks to be you Praxus....

........ Shut up... Besides, I WOULD buy it for PC if my best computer hadn't burned up... Just be glad you've still got yours. Otherwise you'd be stuck with the same ol' Wii version as me.
