Hey guys, I'm hosting a Ventrilo server for PC players. It's pretty difficult to locate people on the game right now, so I'm trying to utilize this to make things a lot easier. Jump on in and say hi and play around! I'm trying to get Cooperative players in here for team games and fun Mic Chat stuff.

Ventrilo Server:

uranium.typefrag.com

Port:

20246

I'll be sitting in there whenever I'm playing... I hope we get enough people to actually coordinate game types.

I play on the PC, but I'm afraid I'm more of a TF fan than a hardcore gamer.

In other words, how would a n00bish player go about logging on to your games...

just download the client version of Ventrilo from Ventrilo.org i believe... just google it *1 L in the word Ventrilo...* download it for free... create an arbitrary username... best if it matches ur TF WFC Handle... then where the second tab says Server and its blank... click the arrow to the right of the empty box. Type in a label for the server... I put Transformers: WFC. then next to hostname or ip put Uranium.typefrag.com and next to port put 20246. theres no said password so leave that blank. and click OK.

U may want to google Auto Volume Leveling for Ventrilo... so that what u hear is always the same volume as it should be and not some assclown spammers going RAWRRRRRR in ur ear cuzz hes 12 and likes things up his butt w/out lube.

Infinicon here. You'll be hearing me soon!!

btw off topic... Does anyone else notice the superior maneuverability console players have? Up, down, left, right arrows are no match against them (especially in melee). Rediculoso! I hope to Prima, that Activision adds more peripherality and or some form of keymapping.

Does anyone else notice the superior aiming pc players have? joysticks are no match against a decent mouse. :P

But do you mean to say that while you are playing on your PC you're fighting console players? Or have you personally played on a console and are just comparing?

Haha!

If I could jump and move in the air in a spiral while still aim at the same target I would agree with you. Too many times I have been smacked in the head with a minisword because I cannot dodge.

Do console players share the same multiplayer arenas?

Yeah, I'm just complaining I guess. I haven't played this on a console, nor played anyone I know to be using one. But prior gaming experience on them I have found the movement was superior. The aiming, although I would not give up my mouse for a stick, is more dependant upon what you are used to as it has the same freedom of motion (albeit not as many buttons to map). Most people I know are way more used to a mouse than a thumbstick, true.

I would love to hear from a console player.... or maybe I should browse their forums for opinions... that would be better of me as this is not the place for theese questions.

I hope to see many of you on this weekend. I have set up ventrillo (is it better than teamspeak3?) and will sign in to that on Saturday after 3:30PM EST (maybe not right away as I am self employed and things do pop up).
