(Did a search and couldn't find if we did a thread on this game).

I played Red Dead Redemption's previous installment Red Dead Revolver but never finished it. Decent game but never finished it. After seeing all the glowing reviews for Redemption, I decided to pick it up as I do love Westerns.

While I loved GTA IV, the open world seemed even more restricted in the game. Sure it's a living city, but with all those buildings with a few you can go in, it just felt like there weren't many places to go. With Read Dead Redemption, there is a giant Old West world to explore with nothing in the way.

Plus in GTA IV, once you're done with the story missions, if felt like there was nothing to do in the game. Redemption has tons of ambient missions that go to you when roaming around the world. And if it isn't bandits wanting to kill you, there's plenty of wild life to attack you.

I was surprised how the game didn't have many story missions but I didn't mind. It's can be pretty bleak at times but the story was well told. Not a lot of humor in the game as I expected since it's a Rockstar Game.

Quite possibly the best sandbox game experience I've played San Andreas.

Haven't played RDR but I want to. Need to wait for a PC version though.

Some of the bugs and glitches I've seen for this game are absolutely priceless.

Wow, for as many glowing reviews as I've found for this game I'm surprised this is the only thread I could find on it....

I think this game looks AWESOME! I *just* got my PS3 so I won't be able to get a 2nd game for a bit - but when I do I'm pretty sure this is gonna be it (MGS4 is the only other serious contender at this time.)
