I'm usually really vocal about the games I play. No too much lately since I started playing Dragon Age. I haven't talked much about what I have been playing only because I'm still playing Dragon Age. I heard great things about this game and one person even compared it to Guild Wars. When I got the game, I got it at a really good price at Best Buy for $25.00. Since then I had a really hard time getting into it. After my car accident at the end of March, I believe it took the fact I was too afraid to leave the house and depressed to finally play it. It is just ALRIGHT.


With all the required replays, expansion, and never ending release of DLC, I will never unlock all the achievements. Shesh!! I really was hoping to unlock the last achievement Blight Queller (kill 1000 darkspawn) before the next DLC is released. Too late for that. With over 200 hours of game play, I played the the game three times with each class (unlocking the 500 darkspawn achievement at the end of the game with my third play through) and completed the over priced expansion, The Awakening (which I got at Toys R Us on clearance) with the three. I started my 4th character and replayed through the dwarf noble origins story because there are darkspawn to slay. I am hoping the achievement will unlock as I complete the Return to Ostagar quest which is a paid DLC that has lots of darkspawn. If it doesn't unlock after clearing up that area I think I'm going to give it a break.

Has anyone else experience the same problem I'm experiencing? What are your thoughts on the game and the many addons?

The Blight Queller trophy or achevment is bugged by patch 1.03, updating it with patch 1.04 should solve this problem. For more information you should log into the dragonageboard for the corect soltution

I'm surprised you could handle 4 playthroughs. I absolutely loved Dragon Age but couldn't bring myself to work through a second time. Mostly due to the fact that I didn't have 80+ hours to spend on a second playthrough.

That, and bad planning on my 'play all 3 races as all 3 classes' approach left me needing even more playthroughs. Oh well, maybe later. On the bright side, my female self is cute.

I just played and finished the game for the fourth time. My warden personally killed about 1,040 darkspawn. Still no Blight-Queller achievement. It's time to move on.

I finally got the Blight-Queller achievement. It took 8 runs of repeatedly reloading the Eleven Alienage during the Final Battle of Denerim. I read that it worked for many who have experienced this glitch.
