Resident Evil

Recently I've been getting back into the biohazard series of games once again. I remember me and my friends in elementary school staying up all night and nearly browning our shorts while playing those games haha. After finishing RE5, I really want CAPCOM to get back to the static camera views instead of the over the shoulder 3rd person. I would love to see the RE series get back to the survival horror genre once again, while RE 4 & 5 were more action/horror/ shoot em up. I remember back in the day, one zombie was enough to get you worried, and posed a decent enough threat, and a crimson was like a boss fight.

Anyone else enjoy these games?

I loved them when they first came out, but I haven't played 4 or 5. I'll get around to it, someday.

Both of the storyline in 4 & 5 are quite interesting, also RE:5 leaves the franchise in a very interesting position, very excited to play the next games.

That's not "the day." Crimson Heads didn't show up until REmake. And one Zombie? Five pistol rounds, max. A single Zombie isn't a threat, it's when they hoard up on you that they become problematic.

So far, the only games I haven't beaten in the main series are Zero, Code Veronica, and RE4. And I'm going to get them soon as I get the money.

REmake was what got me into the series, after playing it I went back to play the originals. So when I say back in the day, I don't mean 97.

I still haven't beat Zero, 2, or CV...

Putting out 5 shots takes a while, one zombie could corner you in that time and really mess you up. It's not likely, but it can happen.

I love the classic Resident Evil games. The REmake is my favorite, I wish they would remake the whole series in the same way.

Not likely indeed, if a Zombie can get to you in the time it takes to fire five rounds, then it's because he ambushed you or you didn't react fast enough. Even then, Zombies don't take off a whole lot of health.

Or maybe I'm just not afraid of Zombies. I blame Left 4 Dead for desensitizing me to the living impaired.

Unless you're playing as Jill lol.

Sort of. I played as Jill on my last playthrough of RE1, but, again, a single Zombie wouldn't take off too much health. Maybe it's because I'm a totally awesome Zombie killer. Screw Chicago Ted, no Zombie is safe from me.

Ya, even with Jill, a single Zack could only possibly get one bite in before any decent player takes it down. Though, regardless of player skill, 3 bites and she's down..
