I'll admit, it's a radical departure from one and 2, but it's still going to be freaking awesome. We've got giant half-human cyborgs, civil war, psycic powers, and...

Cleavage. :D

Also, Him.

Ah, well it seems as if it has most of what makes BioShock what is it. Although, the one thing it really needs to deserve the name is to be a sociologist's wet dream.

Okay, so for a moment I thought that thing was supposed to be a Big Daddy, and I was prepared to start screaming "retcon" because ADAM, Little Sisters and Big Daddies can't possibly have existed in 1912. (Tennenbaum discovered ADAM and she wouldn't be born until 1924)

The story is that thing and the girl are linked. She was put away in a tower due to her psychic powers having Him as her only friend and captor. Looking forward to fighting him. That, and the Alphas...the half human-cyborgs.

You know what, i'm glad they didn't return to Rapture. It was great and creepy in Bioshock 1, but it lost some of that in BioShock 2. If they had chosen it again, it probably would have lost it's creepiness and nostalgia. Rapture's getting older, so we need something new. Columbia is also different from Rapture in story. It wasn't a secret, but it was supposed to be a utopia. Unfortunatley, the world found out that the inhabitants had converted it into a battle station, so America isolated it. It's location was lost. Soon, the citizens developed Xenophobia to the extreme. Not letting any foreigner in, except a select few europeans.

Another new thing is that the main character can talk, unlike Jack or Delta. He'll also have personality and backstory. Him isn't like a Big Daddy boss fight, he will appear, but you can't fight him or kill him. You must stop Him from getting Elizabeth. If you killed Him (you can't), Elizabeth would hate your guts because she loves Him. It's very complex relationship.

Also unlike the spicers in rapture, Columbians will not attack unless provoked. Most just go around minding their own business. You can listen to their conversations, or just bust in to a bar and kill em' all.

Plasmids, or Vigors also work differently. No Eve hypos. Each Vigor has a certain amount of shots in it. Free will is prominent in this game.

What are your thought?
