I can't belive there hasn't been a thread about this in this forum. I mean it IS the Video Game forum.

My favorite game has to be a throw-down between BioShock 2 and War for Cybertron.

I have a 2 way tie. (I have that with my favorite movie too.)

Sly 3
Mass Effect 2

IDK what I like so much about Sly 3 though, its just...fun. I remember sitting there all day when it first came out playing the **** out of it. Just all the weapons and level designs are awesome! I hated Sly 2's level designs!

Mass Effect 2 speaks for itself. Its just plain freking awesome.

My favourite games:

Terranigma
Grandia
Seiken Densetsu III

Oh, and Pokémon... But as a series, not an individual game.

Hmmm... No way I can make a fair decision. Games I consider my favorite don't mean I could go back to them endlessly. If I had to choose, Eternal Darkness for the GC was probably one of the games I had the most fun playing. However, a lot of that came from not knowing what it was going to throw at you.

Metroid Prime 1 would probably be the replayability winner. So much depth and you could just lose hours in the world exploring. if not that, then put me down for GTA: San Andreas.

It's tough to round it down, so I think I'll give a system-by-system break down of a few big ones.

SNES: Super Mario RPG, though Live-A-Live is a close second.
DS: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates
GCN: Eternal Darkness
Wii: Opoona
PS2: Okami
PS3: Either Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction or Folklore.
360: Prototype

Rounding it down further, the top three would probably be Opoona, Prototype, and Ring of Fates.

I've actually still yet to play War for Cybertron, maybe I'll try to give it a rental tomorrow. I did play Cybertron Adventures though, as a 2 dollar rental. It could have made a good budget title; I had a fun 5 hours with it, but $50 is just ludicrous. It is, however, the source of my motto quote.

Edit: Agh! How did I forget Prototype?!

cybertro n adventures is NO WAY like WFC. Believe me, WFC is a game you HAVE to own before it gets good. You HAVE to use hours on playing before it gets fun. And when that is done... you`ll have a hard time leaving again. Trust me.

Like everyone else, I find it very hard to say just one game, so I'll post a list and I'll put the real highlists at the bottom.

Master System
Sonic 1
Psycho Fox

Megadrive\Genesis
Shining in the Darkness
Shining Force II
Landstalker

SNES
Kirbys Ghost Trap (Puyo Puyo since I have both)
Rock 'n' Roll Racing
Super Mario All Stars
Super Mario World

PSX
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Dragon Quest VII
Vandal Hearts II
Alundra
Soul Blade

Saturn
Shining the Holy Ark

PS2
Dragon Quest VIII
Atelier Iris

DS
Dragon Quest IV
Dragon Quest V
Dragon Quest IX
Etrian Odyssey

PC
Baldurs Gate II
Daggerfall
Menzobarranzan
Castle of the Winds

The Highlists

Vandal Hearts II
The best storyline and characterisation I've experienced in an RPG. Playing it is always a wonderful experience.

Daggerfall
Eldar Scrolls could only go down from there.

Baldurs Gate II
I don't even need a reason.

Dragon Quest VIII
Another RPG I can just replay many times.

Landstalker
Zelda3 wanted to be this - but it isn't.

Final Fantasy IX
Best in series. I've hated all of the ones since.

Dude! Great choices! Those are both awesome games. Metroid Prime is an alltime classic, and Eternal Darkness was seriously unique!

I'm kind of a simpleton, but I love Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection. I actually played most of those machine (and beat the hell out of them) in arcades and bowling alleys. The game is about as accurate as I could ever imagine a game like that to be in comparison to its real life counterpart.

Well, for the moment, Transformers: War For Cybertron is what i use my time on. Mostly the Multiplayer. HOURS of fun, i tell you.

Bac in the dys, GTA: San Andreas also was fun. A whole world where you can just fool around and do what you want. Plus, the storyline was TERRIFIC.

I haven`t got to play GTA IV yet, but i am planning on buying the Complete Collection, wich includes both the main GTA IV game, plus Ballad of Gay Tony and The lost and Damned. I can imagine me that i will CALL that my favorite game if i get it. GTA: San Andreas was beautiful, but the graphics of GTA IV looks magnificent.
