i can get the passowrd right for my router, but when i do the connection test, if fails. is it because of my useless linksys router, or what?

ok, this is going to suck and suck hard.

Wipe out your router settings and re-establish your network.

Let it take the default name and make sure it is set to either channel '1' or '11'. Set your password encryption up for the router.

Then let the Wii do its thing.

Honestly, it was a bloody nightmare to get my router and Wii cooperating.

Get a games console that doesnt suck.

Mind you, i am easy to please....

By the by, another way is to buy a nintendo wireless router (approx £20). Very quick and easy (easy = someone as simple as me only messed it up twice)

Works for the 'ol DS as well.
