Who is "Anonymous"?

Who is "Anonymous"?
A group of hackers who, as their name implies, anonymous. The purportedly defend free speech, but they'll also attack anyone who they just don't like.

Shadowman wrote:Yeah, PSN is down, Sony isn't sure what happened. Anonymous, however, is on the stand saying they don't know what's going on, and they're not responsible. So...yeah.

This is Anonymous, they love to brag. If they did it, they would be up-front about it. But they didn't, they specifically said they even though they're going after Sony, the PSN is off-limits because they don't want to hurt Average Joe User.

So someone DID hack the PSN, but Sony shut it down themselves. Can we stop blaming people who aren't responsible for things now?

Who on earth is hacking anyways? Is it still Anonymous doing it?
