LA Noire

Has anyone played LA Noire yet? I really, REALLY want that game. I feel as if that game could make me a smarter person, able to point out lies and truths in people's words and facial expressions. Even though, I'm pretty good at that anyway. It's the type of game I've always wanted, sort of a sandbox game, where everything has a set ending, you just have to find out how to reach it. Plus bringing justice in the most brutal of ways is like the greatest thing ever.

That's one of the many, many skills you cannot learn reliably from a video game. You're better off studying poker tells, which is functionally the same thing.

According to the reviews I'm going through, the consensus appears to be that the game is pretty with a great atmosphere, but doesn't offer you a whole lot of control.

My brother has been playing it and won't shut up about it.

The game looks good, but personally, I don't think the graphics are as good as what everyone says.

The chase scenes feel like they came out of Assassin's Creed, but I think the investigations sequences might be fun. It's just a puzzle game.

Also Sly, I really doubt that one can learn anything life changing fom a video game.

I learn plenty of things from Fallout. Since I've played it, I've been collecting bottle caps in case of a nuclear fallout. Always be prepared!!! Because whatever "duck and cover" BS they taught back in the 50's won't protect you...from the fallout.

Fallout is as massively unrealistic as a game can be. I remember disarming the nuke in Megaton, but being unable to fix the leaky pipes around town.

It looks pretty good, but I'll wait a bit for it to go on sale. There's alot of Computer MMOs coming out this year that are gonna be expensive.

Don't forget a few months after the release you can get them for a bit less from online sellers. I actually paid about $10 less than retail!
