I don't have any of the current gaming consoles, but was considering getting War For Cybertron For Windows XP/Windows 7. Is there any free network to play this online against other people? Thanks.

Yes, gameplay online is free. It is more fun on the PC IMO, you can play better with a mouse and keyboard.
