Posting Larger Parcels out of America to UK (or other places) ??

Not sure if this is the right forum section for this or not... But.

I was wondering if anyone has found any methods of postal services or other carriers that can allow for boxes larger than the 96 or 108 inch (total) limits for boxes when posted internationally.

That does not cost hugely more - the prices get up into the low Hundred Dollar area when you ride the limits close but I was wondering has anyone found a consolidated method of posting for sending multiple boxes or a service that gives a discount or a way to post boxes a bit bigger than 108 inches that doesn't suddenly double in price.

Any help would be appreciated - I'm especially looking for services from North America to the UK.

Tangentially to that I'd also be curious about the same sort of question in relationship to Japan to the UK.

Knew some guys that would ship appliances to Africa back in the day (yep, really) but they had some weird arrangement with guys on the coast to send them in freight containers on boats. That's not a practical solution for basically anyone else though!

Outside of just comparing rates through USPS, Fedex, and UPS, don't forget DHL if they operate near you. International and freight is their niche iirc.
