I will be traveling in Tokyo, Japan for a couple of weeks and wondered if any of the members here knew of any places that were fun to hunt for new, or vintage, Transformers or Diaclone figures? I know that they are not quite as popular in Japan as they are in the West, but am hoping to look for something interest when down time presents itself.

(Huge Super Robot fan, as well, but am pretty well covered there!)

Might not be helpful, but when I was last there, plenty of shops sold them in Akihabara.

Also try Mandarake - there's a few of them, they're big and sell vintage toys/figures as well as new.

Was a while since I was in Tokyo last, but they seem to still be there.
