Yeah, ur charging at least double the cost of priority shipping there.

I sell on ebay too, and padding the shipping like that just turns buyers off.

FIRST GEN and DECPETICONJON: I have no choice as I only have shipping stores in my area( I have a post office but I don't trust the post office b/c they have lost packages in the past and didn't do anything about so I only ship UPS. I don't know if you have noticed but shipping stores DO NOT CHARGE what you will get in a calculated shipping estimate( they add from 30-70% of what it should be, to cover paying their employees and franchise fees). I just lost $75 in shipping on one auction last week( I charged $75 and it ended up being $150). I end up losing money every time, so I am not going to undercharge and lose money on shipping. So while I appreciate input, I am not some asshole trying to make money on overcharging for shipping, I am just tired of losing money out of my pocket on shipping.

I don't ship priority. I ship UPS, from a shipping store. So.., UPS is normally a few dollars more than priority, then add at least 30% to that for what a shipping store adds to it and there you have it. Like I said earlier, I am not trying to make money on shipping. So I am only trying to make a good estimate to where I won't be paying the difference out of my pocket. However, I did go a little high(probably overcompensating for just losing $75), so I just knocked off about all I can, $2 on most, $1 on some. If thats not good enough, I'm sorry, tis the best I can do.

Well, I've had nothing but good luck shipping stuff Priority Mail. I admit I try recover packing supply costs in S&H, but I don't trust those shipping stores any more than a post office.

USPS had lost 2 packages of mine at the same time. 1 showed up about a month later(virginia to texas-priority), and the other never showed up and I had to cough up 30bucks back to the buyer. I have been shipping UPS ever since, and UPS even damaged a packagae of mine and gave me my money back for the item and shipping. USPS acted like they didn't care when they lost my package, cause they don't.

Ya know, you can get it insured and it is still much cheaper than UPS. It's true that it turns buyers off. Some of them do think you want to rip them off, but most just don't want to pay that much for shipping.

did you read the part where USPS lost my package and didn't do anything about it? Insured or not, they didn't care. If you don't like my shipping charges, don't bid, thats why I put in the very beginning "if intersted, put in a bid". The couple dollars more for shipping means that it will probably sell for a few dollars less,no big deal. I would rather charge more expensive shipping and have the product get there(and even if its damaged, UPS pays for it), then have it not get there and have to give people their money back. I used USPS for about 2 years with no problems until a few months ago, so I changed to UPS, which is more expensive. USPS priority insured from eastcoast to westcoast in a flat rate box is $9. UPS is normally a dollar or 2 more, I charged $12 for almost all items that would fit in a "shoebox size". If anybody is worried about me "ripping them off" for 2bucks, then don't bid. Sorry if this comes off as rude, I'm not trying to be. Shipping is what it is.
