You might as well have named this thread "post your obvious desire for an '08 BB like every other transfan in the entire known universe"

I'll be surprised if any but one or two of you get ahold of one for actual cost plus tax and shipping. I've only been collecting transformers for about 6 months and it's pretty obvious that it's a fairly cut-throat circle of collectors as far as toys go.

Which is why the 08 BB is going for $50 on ebay right now. These aren't some evil villains in black suits selling these things, it's other transformers fans looking to make a buck off of what they know to be a hot item. Hell, even the people who post the sightings pictures buy everything on the shelf in the picture before it even gets posted.

I don't find the fanbase in general to be cutthroat. On the contrary, someone one the boards once sold me Alts Ravage and Rumble at cost when they were sold out around here. I've passed by figures I knew I could buy up and scalp all the time. It's not people in black suits buying things up, but it is a small cluster of jerks as opposed to a generally selfish fanbase.

The store I work at had some Robot Replicas come out Saturday (Aug. 11), and by Sunday (Aug. 12) all the BB's were gone. Vanished. Probably on ebay by now. Bummer. They are cool looking figs, but THEY do NOT transform, and they are only 5 inches tall. If anybody wants, I can try to pick some up this Friday (Aug. 17) just PM or e-amil me if intersted.

If no one speaks up then this is just a waste of space IMO. I don't mean to be offensive but this is an obvious thread that everyone wants specific movie figures. We might as well create a waitlist for each specific figure and then take a number like they do at the pharmacy or butcher market.

As for the scalping issue, yup I too have passed over and/or even taken the time and gas to return TFs instead of flipping them on evilbay. I just wish more of the TFfandom would do the same.

Alright, I was in here the other day and was really cynical about the prospect of anyone actually giving up a BB to someone at cost in here.
Well, I found a few 08 BB's today, and in the spirit of good fanboy-ness, I'd like to offer one of them to the first seibertronian to PM me, at cost ($12:Kohls) plus shipping. Here's your chance!
