Want to make your leader class megs look like he did in the movie, or add some chrome to optimus prime? Have you got ANY kind of repaint ideas at all post them here and i can do them for you!

Thats right i am opening to commissions for people who want custom paint jobs added to their favourite toys, or maybe you want some restoration work then i can help too with a re-spray.

Anything goes as long as its TF related, and i can do anything for you so just let me know what you want me to do to them and we can discuss it more in here!

I notice you live in the UK. Where abouts on the little isle would that be? South, North, West, East, Center?

I'd be quite interested in a '76BB touch up to movie detail if you're up for it?
How much would you be charging?

I live in east anglia, south Essex.

Sounds like a good idea, we will have to discuss it further before i can give a price as i need to know exactly how much detail you want me to add and where, and once i know that i can give you a price.

Note you cant get these sorts of custom jobs done on the cheap though, you cant expect to get something like that done for a tenner. Im reasonable but i just wanted to make sure you understood that. Im not planning on charging hundreds....but if you want the full thing done, repainted on the outside too (?*) youd be looking at about 50 quid. If you dont want the outside of the car painted then obviously the price will come down alot more than that. Or we can come to some other "arrangement" ;)

Will work for TF'S! lol

XD You know, If I were more positive about my artwork I'd do exactly the same XD a little piece of cardbord hanging around my neck marked with "will draw for Prime".

Wow, I didn't realise it was that pricey. Though I never really thought about it before.
I'm currently a student, living under by parents roof, no job & barely managing to buy the figures, let alone get them repainted. I guess I asked out of curiosity XD

One last thing before I fall into a pit of despair from the longing for a movie accurate Bumblebee... You're English, you have to put up with the stupidity of the delay in TF releases. Do you get figures over ebay & other net sites, or wait for the English release?
Also, what exactly IS released in England at the moment?

(Oh, my reason for asking where you were was too see if you were near enough for me to beg for repaint classes, but I'm right on the south coast, Brighton, you're a little to far away for me to start begging yet XD)

Edit: Oh yea, are you planning on returning to our "Atlantic dump" discussion in "Movies" or what? XD

Well that price is based on having the ENTIRE thing re-painted, that includes the alt mode car body panels. Obviously if i had to repaint all of those, and re-add the black stripes and rusted areas then it would be closer to the £40 mark. If however you only want his bot parts repainted, then it would be closer to £20/£25.

Recently i found Tesco has released the movie toys and i managed to pick up a jazz from there a while back, since then they havnt got anything else in stock and the shelf is pratically empty now. I wish they would learn the art of restocking.

TRU used to be useless and had nothing for the longest time but protoforms, but last time i went there which was about a week ago they had barricade and jazz in, as well as all the voyagers except megatron, and all the leaders.

I usually go the online route however. I used to prefer buying out of shops but since every place near me is next to useless i gave in and bought online. Better choices, better prices online ya see.

Id say £40. That may sound expensive but this is custom work, and that never comes cheap. Especially when people are making thousands of bucks on ebay for doing the same thing, so im offering my services here for bargain prices.

Check out my ebay auction for an idea of what i can do...

As I said, I'm a student & I don't have my own address so online really isn't good for me, but I don't suppose you've seen any Bonecrushers around?

Ooooh, Barricade in TRU??? Interesting, may have to find ^^ unless they have Bonecrusher ^^

Hrrm, if I'm going to spend £25 I think I'd prefer it to be on a Bonecrusher if I ever do get him. I'll give you a PM when I've found & brought him. ^^ How long does it usually take???

Only takes 4 or 5 days, if that. It really all depends on if i have a backlog. If i do then obviously it will take longer, but i dont then just a few days. Check out my new updated prices btw.

I have updated the thread with prices so you may take your pick!

Dont forget these prices are all in Pounds Sterling, if you live in the US you will have to do a currency conversion. (google is useful)

Or just ask me and i'll do it for you:P

BTW just so you know, if you was to buy a custom painted fig like this off of ebay by someone, you are looking at anything from £200 to £700, so my prices are rather reasonable with that in mind. :P

The Classic retool BB is awesome, and I like the bot arms on Ratchet.

As far as my retool talents go, you have me beat.

As for repaints, the industry I work in has taugh me lots of tricks.

Don't get me wrong, you have me beat there too, but I may have some tips to help you take it up a bit.

Keep in mind, I say that with all due respect as again, you got me beat!

Right this second isn't al that good for me, but I have tons of custom plans in mind. Also, if you can recast molds, I have several things I can donate, for you to replicate.

ie, MP-O5 Megatron's Kremzeek, and some single piece Matrix's that will fit very well in G1 Prime.

Talk to me, L.E.

I dont know how to recast molds, but i sure as hell would like to know so i could sell them on to the needy.

Id love to figure out how to make my own heads too, i am currently experimenting with that myself though, in the form of modelling clay. Maybe we could share some ideas and talents and maybe team up and make a few extra notes on the side. Primus knows i need the cash!

 Zounds! It's in Pounds!!!
You do great work, but sadly to even get my project from and back to the home of the "kings" (Martin Luther, Elvis, B. B., and Jerry Lawler), it would cost me as much as the project itself!

If I were hip deep in Sterling (or as we call them here, "bucks"), I'd want my Cybertron Downshift (and his soon to be "unpainted" mini-con, Oil Slick) painted to resemble the General Lee (yes, that General, from The Dukes of Hazzard). The internal "robot parts" would be changed from Gunmetal Gray to Sky Blue. Anything black would stay black. The ugly green parts would become (naturally) Hemi Orange. Of course, before the car could be painted, the vinyl roof would have to be sanded down into a smooth hardtop. (Since Reprolabels makes a General kit for Classic mini-con Oil Slick, all I need to do is remove his factory paint, and buy the decals.)

But alas, dollars don't come near me and stay for long. :-(

It shouldnt cost that much to ship. I can ship something from here to australia for about £12....i cant see why it would be a huge amount to send something from the US to the Uk...

If you want i can get hold of a cheap downshift off of uk play.com or amazon. You could buy it, have it sent to me, then i can work on it and send it back to you. It would probably save you quite a bit, especially since i can get a downshift for less then £10.

Sounds like a cool idea and something id be more than willing to work on.

The good news is that I already have 2 Downshifts (1 now loose), bought specifically to create this project. (Both were bought at about $10 each, a savings of close to another $10, according to the recent exchange rate.) Even after replacing a lost Cyber Key spring (in the hood/bonnet) in the loose one, I'm still looking ahead.
The only (major) thing getting in my way is that I want to first attempt to try Redline's neck increase technique, allowing the current head to turn around 360 deg., like it seems to have been intended.
More interesting, I have a can of ModelMaster Hemi Orange enamel (actually endorsed by DaimlerChrysler) that I've been dying to use.

All you need to do to change the head articulation is take a ball joint off an old toy and glue it in to downshifts neck. Yet another mod i could easily do for you if you wanted it.

You sure have a knack for finding my "plan B" ideas. :D I've been thinking of swapping his head with a G1 (or G1 Replica) head. (Targetmaster) Sureshot came to mind, but I only have one of him. Another idea was dissecting a replica of ActionMaster Sideswipe's head.

Here is the Head Fix I was referring to. --> http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=95090
