For Sale: Seibertron's moving sale! Planet of Junk beware!!!

I've been thinking of selling all of these extra figures for quite a while. Now that I have a possible apartment move coming up (yay!), I'd like to, how shall I put it?, "lighten my load". All of these are figures that I have replaced during the past few years in order to prepare for galleries on Seibertron.com. Minus the MIB or MISB box figures at the end of this list, most of these Transformers are in various states of disrepair. Most are missing accessories and weapons. Some are broken. Some have paint wear. Some have plastic stresses. Most of them are figures from my childhood. I played with my Transformers as a kid. They're not the best examples of these figures by any stretch of the imagination.

I will be putting these either in the Carbombya forum or on eBay in the near future. I'd like to make some money off this stuff. I'm not looking to give it away for free. Some of it's not in the best of condition. Again, these are all figures that I have replaced with near perfect figures in recent years in order to have better figures for the galleries on the site. Most of these figures will be good for parts or placeholders. Or, maybe you just want a piece from my crazy collection. I might list the parts separate from the figures, haven't decided yet.

Prices? I didn't list prices yet because I want to take pictures first or at least see which ones people are most interested in first before showing all of my cards. I'll do my best to be fair but I think I would prefer to sell a lot of this stuff on eBay so that I can get top dollar for some of the good stuff (such as Lord Zarak and some of the reissues).

I will ONLY do Paypal. No checks in the mail, no money orders, no nothing else but Paypal. Every time I do something other than Paypal, it always turns into an ordeal when someone sends a check. I don't want to deal with that, especially not with a move coming up. Most people should have access to Paypal.

I believe there's more but this is what I can remember off the top of my head.

Ok, I'm changing how I want to do this. I just got back from seeing "The Awful Truth" with Cary Grant at the Chicago Outdoor Film Festival and wasn't expecting about 10 messages regarding pricing and all that for this stuff. I've been extremely hesitant about selling stuff through the Carbombya forum because as the owner of Seibertron.com I don't want to tick you guys off by quoting to high of prices, which is why I really think I should just sell this stuff on eBay.

I can tell you how old I was, which parent got me the figure at which Holiday or birthday or the store that I bought the figure at with my money. I have an almost scary memory for remembering extremely minute details about each individual figure in my collection. It almost scares me how much of this stuff I can remember. Almost every one of the figures I listed above has some sentimental value to me.

When I have sold stuff on eBay in the past and have used Seibertron.com's front page and news section to help promote the items that I'm selling, I usually get 1.5 to 3 times what I expect for the stuff that I sell. It's been a long time since I've sold anything on eBay after my great purge in the fall of 2002.

There are several problems with me selling stuff through these forums ... I can't promote it in the same manner that I can if it's on eBay and/or you guys might think I'm a jerk or something for asking too much for this stuff (most of which is extremely sentimental to me). eBay provides a way for everything to be neutral. It takes out the sentimentality of it all or maybe it helps because maybe people will want to own a figure from my collection (maybe even moreso if there's a story to go with it). Or maybe that just sounds extremely conceited. Bottom line is I'm extremely sentimental about these figures and I know I want more for them than they're worth.

I want to take pictures of this stuff before I accept any offers on these figures. I'd also like to do some write ups about the history of that figure so that I'll have a permanent reminder of the figures I once owned. Having the original figure from when I was a kid is not the same as having a replacement that I bought in the past 5 - 10 years because I know damn well where the replacement came from: eBay. It's not that same as knowing that Mom gave me Scourge and Kickback for Christmas 1986 at my Grandpa Dick's house. Or finding Galvatron and Ultra Magnus in a big box marked "Car Parts" when my family moved in December 1986 and having to pretend that I hadn't found all of those Christmas gifts early. Or buying a bunch of those Autobot Cars and Optimus Prime from my neighbor's garage sale (the Wrights) in 1988 or 1989 after selling my entire massive MOTU collection for $20 (yikes! boy, was my Mom pissed). Or my Dad stopping by TRU on his way home from the hospital the Sunday after my little sister was born to buy me Powermaster Optimus Prime to let me know I was still special. Or getting Soundwave in the fall of 2nd grade after he sat in the lost-and-found window unclaimed and the office lady made a deal with me that I could have it after a month. Or my Dad buying Metroplex off one of his co-workers for me in 1987 when I was 10 during the summer because his co-workers son already had one and he knew that I liked Transformers so he offered it to my Dad. That summer also led to a crazy "scraplets" play scenario where I took apart all of my Transformers and somehow managed to put them all back together. Metroplex is still missing a few pieces though but he works fine. Or the original first wave Pretenders ... I bought them over Fort Max because my Mom thought Fort Max was too much money for 1 figure but it was somehow OK to get the Pretenders because there were 6 figures that came with 6 robots so I got 12 figures instead of 1.

I could go on and on. And perhaps I will. I'll take some pictures of this stuff as soon as possible so that you guys can make some offers. If I don't hear anything that helps with the sentimental value, then I'll just post the stuff on eBay. Sound fair?

Just remembered two others I don't need because one's an original of which I have a beautiful reissue and the other I bought MIB stickers unapplied last fall.

Sixchanger - Quickswitch (complete, stickers worn)
Sixchanger - Sixshot (complete, stickers worn or missing)

And I might as well add my original G1 Rodimus Prime to the list. Haven't had him out since the reissue(s) came along. Has the yellow back piece but not the black accessories and no gun.

I won't be listing prices. If you guys want to send me offers, that's fine, otherwise the items will go on eBay.

honestly seib's you're right.. you should sell them on ebay and not through carbombya.
you'll never hear the end of "well, why didn't you hook me up with *insert name here* for a cheaper price. i go to your website."
-enter stupid **** talking from noobs collecting tf's-
best bet, some of the item's you think could go for offers, do the Make an offer on that ebay item,
if not, you're going to end up with 99 people asking for the same figure all with carious offers and you won't even be able to check your email without a new message window popping up.
at least, seeing it from my twisted mind.
you can't be fair to all, so let them duke ir out with their bid button on a website that was created for that.

I took photos of G1 Scourge, G1 Cyclonus, Headmaster Hosehead, Pretender Thunderwing, Trainbot Shouki (MIB), Armada Starscream (MISB) and Alternator Rodimus (MISB) this evening. I am planning on adding them to eBay tomorrow unless someone makes me an enticing offer for any or all of these items.

I have posted some photos of Cyclonus, Scourge and Shouki which you can view at http://seibertron.com/toys/ebay/index.php

G1 Cyclonus 100% Complete

G1 Scourge 100% Complete

Trainbot Shouki MIB 100% Complete

So I went through every G1 tub, G2 tub and every box of boxed figures that I own to find duplicates. Wow. It's so weird to go through my collection and find things that I didn't even know that I own! I found some MISB Armada Starscreams, some MISB Beast Machine Rattraps and a few extra Autobot cars that I don't need or want because I've got the reissues or have replaced the figures. I even managed to find Bomb-Burst's wings though I somehow misplaced one of reissue Rodimus Prime's black panel accessories tonight. Ugh. Win some. Lose some.

More pics and auctions in the near future. I think my new apartment lease is a go so I'll need some extra cash quick and to get rid of some of this stuff so that I don't have to move it in a few weeks.
