Optimus Prime MISB with R or TM on Flap Crease?

I am in the process of selling my G1 Optimus Prime MISB. We have almost settled on a price but at the last second the guy wants to know if the TRANS FORMERS logo on the flap has an R or a TM next to it.
Does anybody know why he would be asking this?
Does it effect value?
Any help would be great.
