How can I sell RiD figures? Does anyone want any?

Hello Seibertronians:

Years ago, when money meant nothing to me, I bought a huge collection of RiD figures. RiD, just in case these are as forgotten as they seem to be based on my lack of ebay success, means Robots in Disguise. It was a Japanese cartoon (Car Robots) translated for American audiences in 2001. The heroes were Autobots and included such characters as Fire Convoy and God Magnus. (Japanese names.) The villains were Predacons, and were led by Gigatron. There was also Sky Byte. Soon Decepticons showed up, led by Scourge (Black Convoy), an evil version of Optimus Prime.

Anyway, hopefully I have refreshed some of your memories. I paid $500 bucks for these back in the day. Now they seem to be worthless. I've had an ebay sale up for over two months with no bites. :BANG_HEAD:

The auction is linked in my sig.

Does anyone know of a dealer that would be interested in these? Wheeljack's Lab is the guy I went to for all my G1 needs. He's awesome and I heartily recommend him. He wouldn't take my RiD figures. I imagine there must be a dealer for these as well.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone. :CON:

You can try making a sales thread in the carbombya: buy, sell or trade forum. You also might have better luck selling the figures individually

You're probably not getting any bites because you're selling it as a lot. Try breaking it down into smaller lots. I've seen Prime and Magnus combos go for over 100 (though yours may go for less since Prime is broken). If memory serves me correctly, Scourge is also pretty expensive. The Car Robots version is cheaper than the American TRU version.

Yeah, sell them individually, or in logical sets. Prime and Magnus, the Predacon trio, Rail Racer, the Spy Changers, Ruination, etc. There's definitely some stuff in there I'd be interested in, but not for the lump sum of $450.

Yeah, you'll never get anywhere trying to sell the whole bunch like that. There are a few things I'm interested in, I'll shoot you a PM. :)

Y U SELL THIS AS A 450$ LOT?

Like everyone say, sell your toys separately. do a listing for every single figures. Yeah, this mean work, but you will have way more success like this. Also, start all bids at 1$. You will be surprized how effective that is.

Also, I want that black megatron/predacon.

Finally,
THIS IS MY 900th POST!!!

Yeah, starting bids lower encourages (1) bid wars and (2) more interest from the people who won't even give it a second glance if you start the bid high.

That's why my RotF HA Mudflap and my Takara VOYAGER Supreme Starscream both start at only 15$. Click my Ebay icon! :ic$:

Thanks for the input guys.

If I don't get any bites in the next few days, I'll take the auction down. I don't have much time on my hands these days, and I have to be rid of them by October for some complicated reasons. If you guys see anything you want, I would be happy to deal directly with you. I'll do some price research on what they go for individually, and make a post in Carbombya. (I forgot all about that. I haven't posted on this board in literally years...)

Thanks again everybody.
