I just want to point out that the product description lists "two cannon accessories" which would indicate they're removable despite what we've seen in displays and on the box. Though, that doesn't mean Hasbro didn't change their mind and make them permanently affixed after they wrote that and forgot to make the edit.

Whether you can remove the cannons or not, I really am looking forward to Ironhide. He actually seems to be the most stable of the movie MPs, or at least the one that will be the most solid in physical terms.

Plus he looks gorgeous

There's still a few things to cover at Hasbro's display at this year's New York Toy Fair, one of them the upcoming Movie Masterpiece Ironhide! While one of the less exciting things on display there, as we've seen quite a bit of him over the past couple of months, it's still worth sharing some additional photos of him! Especially since this is one of the first times we can confirm his cannons do come off, one of the main issues people had with the figure! Check out some of our preliminary photos down below, and expect our full galleries of this figure (and all the other figures on display at NYTF) later today! Talk in the Energon Pub Forums below and tell us if you'd be interested in picking up this figure, or if he doesn't quite meet your expectations!

I knew the cannons came off, otherwise they would not be able to get it properly licensed. Same reason why Takara had to engineer MP Sunstreaker with a normal non-powered up Countach mode.

Then again, GM is a sponsor of the franchise. I am sure they would not be as strict as Lamborghini, but good point.

Another of the figures on display in the Hasbro showroom over in New York City in occasion of the Toy Fair 2018 was the collaboration effort between Hasbro and Takara Tomy on the Movie Masterpiece line - in fact, the sixth figure in the series: MPM-6 Ironhide!

We've seen preliminary images just earlier, but our new gallery shows some more to the weapons specialist, with a sneaky apperance from Decepticon Barricade, too. Check out a preview below of this GMC licensed alt-mode sporting Autobot, remember his vicious and sad demise in the Paramount live-action movie series, and join the conversation in the Energon Pub!

It's hard to be sure, but is Ironhide going to be a Mega, or a Deluxe?

Masterpieces don't have size classes.

And there's final proof that his guns don't need to stay attached in vehicle mode.

Oh, I thought this was part of that movie line Hasbro debuted at ToyFair this weekend.

It's a bit confusing, two Movie spin-off lines happening at the same time, but here's the general gist:

Studio Series
- Part of Generations
- styled like the Premium Series of TLK, or the Generations line from AoE, down to featuring retools from those and earlier Movie lines.
- 3 Size Classes: Deluxe, Voyager, Leader

Movie Masterpiece
- spin-off of Masterpiece
- Movie-accurate styling
- Bot mode in scale with each other

Don't forget Takara's Movie the Best Line which is still not finished releasing figures.

A lot of movie stuff at the same time.

Come on Hasbro, how hard is it to actually finish transforming him properly???

With images still pouring in from the Hasbro display at San Diego Comic Con, we have new pictures of the upcoming Movie Masterpiece MPM-6 Ironhide! The new figure, due out sometime this fall, was on display with his box, robot mode, and GMC Topkick mode. Of note is the continued failure to properly transform this poor figure, which once more features robot mode parts that are not where they are supposed to be.

This figure was out on display alongside the released MPM-5 Barricade and the Studio Series figures, which includes his new Studio Series toy. You can check all those Studio Series guys out over HERE.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think of the next Movie Masterpiece figure set to come out!

It's sad how they keep managing to mistransform him when they display him somewhere.
You'd think they care about properly displaying something that they want to make money off, being a business and all, but they don't seem to care.

Stop making Ironhide look like crap, goddammit. That's a great looking figure transformed by someone who doesn't know how to transform it! Foooooooolllllsss!

The official Transformers Instagram account has posted a new story featuring their latest arrival - and collaboration with Takara Tomy - in the Movie Masterpiece line: MPM-6 Ironhide! We saw this figure in full at San Diego Comic Con 2018 (our gallery is here), as well as some official images after Wonderfestival (see here), but we now also get to see the diecast elements of the Autobot weapon specialist located in the leg and foot, plus a prototype close up shot of the head sculpt.

You can check out the images cropped and mirrored from the story below, and then join the conversation in the Energon Pub: is this a figure you've been waiting for? Will you be picking it up once it's released at retail? Let us know!
