So far, all we have is the fact that a credible source of information posted a list of exclusives that specified a Target exclusive Toy deco Terrorsaur, and then a half-hour later the Terrorsaur listing in the article was found.
Ok so since the actual listing doesn't specify "toy deco" it's just someone saying it and it's not certain.
Given JT's track record it might as well be certain

Besides, what else could a Terrorsaur redeco be, other than Lazorbeak/Neo Hydra/SG Terrorsaur?
That's what I'm saying, the listing says nothing about a redeco. What if it's just a straight rerelease of the Golden Disk figure by itself?

Based on repaints history, basically anything Hasbro wants it to be.

Has there ever been any example of an amazon exclusive getting a single release by another store?

GameStop in Canada got all the special packs for Siege, except for the "galaxy whatever" subline.

Yeah, but that's not a 'single release' in the way he meant. He meant 'has there ever been a figure singly released from a pack on it's own from an Amazon exclusive with no redeco.'

No, that has never happened but that Punch Counterpunxh is a good example of the same exclusive having 2 separate releases with a minor difference in deco (ie, not being different enough to reference something dustinctive).

Maybe TR Repugnus and TR Grotusque? Single Amazon release, then part of a 2 pack by Takara. Did they had to he same deco?

I dunno...that's why I didn't try to answer the question myself. I was just translating.

1. I don't think that's ever happened before.
2. Selects Galvatron didn't have Toy Colors in it's listing either (it just said Selects as opposed to Kingdom, which is equivalent to saying Legacy/BB instead of Kingdom), and none of the Netflix guys mentioned being battle-damaged, but all those releases came that way anyway.

It was, yes.

They had different color screws and a different paint finish, according to the wiki, but that was pretty par for the course with Takara releases of Hasbro figures at the time. I don't know that that's comparable to what is being suggested here.

Interesting new information, but I will say I am sad that we are getting "toy decos" instead of actual repaints. I would be excited for more of the exclusive beasts if they were new characters like Lazorbeak or Hydra for Terrorsaur, or if Blackarachnia was actually arcee or something. Things like Sandstorm and Antagony make me more excited.

I also appreciate the diaclone repaints, allows me to get molds I would otherwise pass on in the diaclone colors to make that little squad

When it comes to exclusive decos, they usually stay with the store they were exclusive to. Molds can be exclusive to one retailer, but they usually end up with others in different colors.

Think of it this way: Hasbro released Terrorsaur for Amazon to sell, and only Amazon. If they were to release the exact figure, sans an accessory or two, via a competitor to Amazon, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot; not just at the moment, but for any future business as well. Breach of company trust, you know?

Yes, that's why I wrote it was the same exclusive and thus didn't really work.

Then how is this Terrorsaur listing found on a Target computer?

My point: it has to be a different deco. Different deco, different product. If it was the same deco as the Amazon one, ergo the same product that they have exclusive rights to, that store could grow a hissy fit.

Regarding the different Terrorsaurs, the Golden Disk Amazon version represents the show model or Japanese toy D-5 mostly red with the yellow beak.
Image

The Target version will most likely represent the toy released for the American and other markets with the spots.
Image

I'm glad we're getting Fractyl and hopefully we get Lazorbeak and/or Hydra. Wouldn't mind Strafe or Swoop/Terranotron repaints, either.

Seeing as they're using the "Black Convoy" name to avoid overlap/confusion with G1 Scourge, I'd say never.

Okay then do the yu-gi-oh path and call him Dark Convoy. I just don't see Black Convoy being a viable name for a villain in modern day America.

Titan class Black Zarak, Kingdom Blackarachnia, Selects Black Roritchi, etc. all say "Hi."

Why? The 'black' doesn't connotate a race. I have no issue with "Black Convoy" although if they're going to change it, it would be "Nemesis Prime", not "Scourge".

If Rack N Ruin is a weaponiser I'd even buy the crappy springer again just to get him. Fractyl and Packrat are my only musts with out seeing the other figures though.

Red Cog should be a want for me but I'm okay with having the power dashers.
