This happened because of Arcee. Her toy looked so close to the original classic we have been literally dreaming about for the last 23 years so the curse of Arcee has befallen (pun intended) the line. Hasbro defied the curse and planned her release. Now look what happened. She would have redeemed that whole line for me.

I so wish that they would release her as a special order or something. My daughter and I are really sad about this. She is 5 and she was looking forward to that so much.

Uh... Arcee hasn't been canceled yet, just delayed.

Great news. When is she supposed to be released then?

What's the big deal about Arcee, she looks mediocre, and will probably have QC problems.

You...haven't been a Transfan long, have you? It doesn't matter which Generation you're a fan of, whether it's G1, G2, even Machine Wars...we've been clamoring for an Arcee with a car for an alt mode since 1986 when she debuted in the original movie.

There are G1 fans who'll buy her just to finally have her. It's imperfect, sure, but that's why she's so important to all of us.

We can't afford the A.R.C. Fembot because the prices are disgustingly high and it's kinda dodgy buying one (I haven't heard of anyone owning one recently.) so this truly is the first official Arcee that comes with a car alt mode and released by Hasbro.

They had a mockup for the '86 line but it never made it to the production phase. (Something to be thankful for, it was reeeeally ugly.)

If the TFA toy line goes "bye-bye" then that would be great news! They're not really moving off the shelves. The only people buying these are the diehard collectors that believe TFA has been God's Greatest Gift since. The sales for them were probably at their highest when they first appeared before the show aired when the collectors hit the pavement to buy them.

Another reason may or may not be due to the economic turmoil going on, all the toy companies are trimming down their selection of toy lines. We may see the Transformers be reduced to just the Movie and the (much better than TFA) Universe toy lines. G.I. Joe may be reduced to just the Resolute and Movie toy lines as well. This may even be the end of the Star Wars/Marvel/Transformers Crossovers too.

When it comes to the TFs, the Masterpiece, Alternators, and Universe toy lines have been the best ones since the original G1 line... And in that order.

Say what now????

The toyline was delayed due to insistence from retailers that the movie line was selling better than the pegwarmers showed it was, forcing more repaints and crap onto the market.

By the time that we were getting the first toys, the show was already in season 2.

Season one started December 26, 2007, the first toys didn't start coming out until May '08.

Congrats on making crap up. :APPLAUSE:

I see... I shall respect the fembotism. I've only been a transfan for like a year a half.

I just found and bought Animated Waspinator in South Miami (Dadeland Mall) at a Target. They also had Samurai Prowl (2) one more Waspy, Blurr and a few others. Hardly peg-warmers.
And the Target that I still work at in the toy dept., has a hard time keeping animated line in stock. One week, the pegs are full, a week later, empty, or nearly empty. But Easter sounds about right for new TFA figures. if I hear anything, I will post it here.

Not a diehard TF collector and used to only focused on MP & BTs (even ALT are a bit cheap in quality to me), but even I have to admit TFA line is very good, after getting a taste of it. Not high end in anyway, but they achieved great deal as being something fun, simple, and very show accurate incarnations of TFs that many previous lines failed in at least some department. You almost don't get any sucky ones out of this line. Most are ranging from solid to really good. Just that a few less desirable characters became shelf warmers, but only because Hasbro forced the stores to buy in the assortment cases. So you can see the good ones sold out really fast, while the non-popular ones takes up the shelves. So definitely want the TFA line to last longer, as they are a good filler line that is affordable, kids-friendly, and darn accurate for the shows they represent with very little QC issues and awesome execution overall. Try find a TF line that can be as accurate as TFA, while keeping the kibble parts as little as they did. 8)
