Clampdown is using the Kingdom mold.

Good to know. I also need to learn how to read as Clampdown isn't coming today, the tracking isn't even in the system yet. I should've realized, Hasbro has never moved that fast.

I spy with my little eye...

Case breakdown: 2 each of Burn Out, Road Rocket and Blurr. 1 each of Cosmos and Clampdown.

Sounds about right. Did you get any of them?

Saw a box of Haulers at Walmart this morning, my first sighting of the Velocitron line. It was at the bottom of a pallet full of boxes, mostly Lego sets, and I wasn't about to find someone to dig through them so I can have my toy. I'll be going back Friday, hopefully they've got one left and the rest are on the shelf.

Man, Walmart said Nemesis Prime was available to pre-order, but every time I added it to my cart it would say sold out in my cart. :BANG_HEAD:

Cosmos and Blurr interested me mainly. I actually grabbed all 5, but on the way to the register my financial responsibility sense acted up so I left the others. I was going to use Road Rocket as my G1 Override, but the differences in deco were too great.

The joys of adult life.

Have you had much chance to handle Cosmos and Blurr?

Not yet, they're still boxed. I plan on freeing them later today after work. I also got BuzzWorthy Cliff and the creature 4-pack last night (another reason I didn't buy all 5, my budget is getting stretched) and they took priority.

Got my deluxes in and I have been messing around with them tonight. Some thoughts.

I think Road Rocket might be my favorite right off the bat. Maybe it's the fact that she has the G2 bot symbol on her, or maybe that she uses my favorite color scheme, but she is really nice. I like the new head, and she looks good. I like this mold, which also helps.

Burnout is probably the 2nd standout. Again, he uses my favorite color scheme, and this is my first time with the mold, and it's pretty solid. I liked the transformation on it, and while the front wheels don't turn very well, alt mode is pretty neat too. He will look great with the Diaclone crew.

Cosmos is next. It is an interesting mold, and I like how odd he is, and that RG1 accurate alt mode. But I will say that the arm tabs are a bit bothersome, takes some force and finesse to get the back tabs in place, and I don't like it that much. But otherwise, he is pretty solid. I adore the flag too.

Blurr comes next. The IDW tooling is welcome and looks really sharp. I wish the arm flaps went somewhere else, and his legs feel a little loose, but he looks good. I hope we get more IDW toolings like this, especially for Rodimus.

Clampdown comes last. He is pretty solid, and I think he will go great with Cordon. He isn't the weakest by being bad, he's just the weakest because of how many times I've seen this mold already, that's all. He's good, just less exciting is all.

Yeah, I like Cosmos a lot. He actually surprised me with his complexity for a deluxe, the last few deluxes I've handled have been fairly simple. I like how hefty yet compact he is in UFO mode, and his robot mode is neat. He's definitely worth the money. 1 more for my Cybertron 7 shelf!

Apologies, I forgot about that. My brain wants to auto-default that Burnout and Lift-Ticket are dudebro partners. Need to remember they are a dude/lady partners pair!

It sure doesn't help that Burn Out's Hasbro Pulse product description uses male pronouns, despite the guys in the livestream that unveiled Burn Out using female pronouns.

If official Hasbro product info refers to him, then it's a male, unless Hasbro admits it's a mistake and corrects it. Otherwise the guys in the livestream were mistaken.

The guys in the livestream used female pronouns for Road Rocket, who was originally male, and then so too did the Hasbro Pulse product description for Road Rocket use female pronouns. That shows a clear change in the character's gender. The original Burn Out was a mech with both a female pilot and a female AI.

Plus, the guys in the livestream were Burn Out's designers, the ones who made her toy.

Ok so I got Override and I'll concede, I do feel I am getting more than I would a deluxe BUT it ain't much. Sure not voyager. Transformation is excellent, I really love all the tabbing in both modes, feels solid and a quality product (definitely needed a better Override) but I definitely feel I overpaid. Nice to get pinned wheels though, it all matches really nicely.

One thing I found really intriguing though is that the final toy is very different from the stock images we got in the upper torso. The stock images show the shoulders as one piece and no connection near his head but that entire area is reworked in the final version with connectors sprouting from "trap" area (at the sides of his neck).

aS i UNDERSTAND IT, THEY SIMPLY FUSED EVERY.....OH FOR FU..... (undo capslock) ....As I said, they just fused everyone together in a single body.

But eh, loose interpretations is not new. Like everyone being a headmaster in TR or characters being un-headmaster'd in Legacy like Minerva.
