Well, it also count as a "fake belly".
Hell, Movie figures don't have the choice but to have basically fake everything because we still have to abide by the laws of physics in the real world.

PrimeVsPrime just posted this as a tease for his upcoming SS86 Grimlock review.

The gold looks pretty good in my opinion. Excited to see how it looks in robot mode

Interested to see if Grimlocks tail is as bad as POTP.

hotrods still an easy pass at £31+ I paid way less for KO MP and even with chrome wear straight out of the box it's still good enough. I'll wait to see what Rodimus is like.

What I meant was that this design doesn't pretend to have the truck grill as his belly.

I will definitely pick up SS Starscream and any repaints. I might buy a second to swap heads with Blitzwing either to use him as Blitzwing, G2 Starscream or Ramjet.

Wowwwwwww. Initially I had no intention of getting this Grimlock since I already have the MP version and wanted to save money but after watching the review I've changed my mind. I can never get enough grimlock

The gold looks fine on Grimlock but he's still too small, old leader class size needs to return.

Oh yeah. And the great thing is, it dosen't take anything away from the classic look.

It's more metallic yellow than true gold which I think is a great compromise between the cartoon and original toy. Size looks perfect to me, seems to scale nicely with the rest of WfC and SS86.

Now that is a masterpiece figure! If it was comic-accurate, it would be perfect.

Yeagh def a nice compromise and it pulls it ooff well. Blurr/deluxes should stand head height to the top of Grimlocks Dino Legs for me and he should tower over Magnus (so not much hope for a earth mode magnus being done at the larger size he should have been either). Might work well with core class or third party legends figures tho.

I know animations scale is all over the place but wfc scale has been out of place for a few figures too.
Edit* SS86 Deluxe Gnaw will make Grimlock look too small too, unless they go SS Bike trio route for legends sized sharkticons at a Deluxe price.

He looks great. Would have preferred a sword over the static wheelie but what you gonna do. Also would have loved the translucent amber plastic on the neck. But all in all its finally a real G1 Grimlock done right. Glad I pre-oredered him.

Surely some enterprising third party can release an upgrade set with a sword and a red visor.

And after seeing the video... WOAH!
This is yet another budget Masterpiece! Will be well worth the full price in store.

Hoooooo boy am I excited to get my hands on that Grimlock. I DO prefer Grimlock with red eyes and would have preferred his sword to an almost static Wheelie (although it will be fun posing Grimlock with that Wheelie on his shoulder), but I get that those aren't accurate to the cartoon/movie and that's what they're going for. It also helps that the figure itself looks utterly fantastic. The lack of front teeth is weird but it's probably not going to bother me much. If I could guess why they did that, it was probably some reason relating to being able to put blast effects in his mouth (make it easier to do/make sure they fit in there).

You will never get a continuation of the actual Bayverse storyline, because the Bayverse cannot do it itself. Have you seen those movies? You can be a fan of the designs but you cannot be a fan of good storytelling and like the story in the movies.
That's a matter of opinion, and not everyone's is the same. I also think the Bee movie is worse than the other live action films, except maybe TLK. But it's clear that TLK was an unfinished story. That's why there needs to be 1 more movie to conclude the 2nd trilogy. But I do agree, unfortunately it will not happen, not anytime soon and not with Michael Bay.

I wonder if Hasbro has already started producing the seeker repaints or if they're waiting to see how Starscream performs. They did include a digital shot of Skywarp with all those Starscream pics.

Offtopic:
The storytelling connecting the Bayverse movies is objectivly bad, you have to agree on that.
If you dislike the Bee movie compared, totally okay opinion. I think Filmento gets what's wrong with the Bee film perfectly (low energy, hero not driving the plot, not as much action etc.). However TLK omg, a part 2 won't fix anything on that combined trainwreck. And there should never be a part 2.

I think no matter what we will get Thundercracker and Skywarp. I think what will be interesting if one of them will be an exclusive. Or worse, an exclusive two pack.
I hope they reserve the exclusive multipacks for other recolors and remolds but let every fan have a nomal chance of getting the trio complete.

I was thinking about the review for SS 86 Blurr and if the ugly forearm pieces are attached to the wrists- which can probably be pulled out- maybe a 3rd party will come in with an upgrade kit with new pieces that are able to collapse onto the forearms. And I'd assume he'd get a rifle and maybe a new head or something. Idk just wishful thinking but that would be pretty cool
