Will he at least be accompanying the older one, given the accessories and actually having 5mm-compatible hands?
Not sure if I understand the question, but I think the answer is no because I'm skipping Siege Mirage. I probably should have made that clearer.

I do like the look of the figure and wouldn't mind a redeco as not Dragstrip. Whoa, deja vu :HALUC:

If I may ask, why are you passing on this new Mirage? He looks G1 AF, is only the second "Classics" version of the character we've gotten, and his original 2006 update, IMO, hasn't aged well with his pin-head and overall wonky proportions.

It's also the first updated Mirage to come with a shoulder launcher!

Something funny that occurred to me... Skyfire and Reflector are two characters that were phased out of the cartoon... and now with the SIEGE line, they've been released around the same time, both are kind of difficult to get -- Amazon messed up the Jetfire pre-orders and never even put ones up for Refraktor.

I just got around to it today. I stated with ship mode and just 1 Brunt and it actually wasn't that easy to come up with something I liked. There is also a pretty good lack of useful 5mm holes especially in ship mode. I wanted symmetry and Brunt's arm pieces are really the only symmetrical pair of parts. So those became claws for the front of the ship because why not, and I was able to barely put together a central cannon that used the 5mm holes on top of the part of the ship on either side of the main ramp for city mode. I say barely because Brunt's crotch/upper thigh part is just like 1mm to short for the 5mm posts on his knees fit snugly in the holes on Trypticon.

Then I moved onto using 2 Brunts for better options with symmetry.

20190708_162312.jpg

Then I switched to city mode and changed things up a little more. I went with 3 weaponizers for each city bot with 2 used for supplementing the ship/city and the 3rd to be the actual character. So Trypticon gets a brunt, and a bunch of bling in the form of brunt pieces.

I want to add some thoughts of my own towards Brunt.

First off, Cary, I put mine on the left shoulder and rotate the turret to allow it to fit. I think it looks pretty good poking up there.

And secondly, Brunt is fantastic. He went from a tank/tower accessory of Trypticons to being an amazing standalone figure. He rocks! The new and unique design with that awesome head really help him stand out, and those massive claws are simply delicious. Transformation is fun too, the most fun of the Weaponizers I think, and the tank mode is a beast. Oh and his purple is perfection. that is the shade of purple that should be used.

Buy him, he deserves it, and you deserve him

We may be the only two. I really like them and they are the only figures in that mold I'm keeping. If new ones were released they'd have to be pretty **** good for me to jump.
I, too, also like CW Huffer and Pipes as well.

CW Pipes and Huffer are my versions of both as well, i like them even if they aren't that accurate. I really love T30 Gears too.

Ehhh. I would say that the Minibot-size head looks a smidgen off nowadays, he's lacking in weapons and the one he has makes him look really scrawny in robot mode, and the ball-jointed ankle tilts have definitely NOT aged well. Those feet flop like deflated balloons :BANG_HEAD:
And the hands aren't 5mm compatible. #-o  :-x

You might get better results in ship/battlestation mode if you detach Full-Tilt and move him to the garage. That spot all the way at the back was where Brunt's cannon attached on the original, after all, so it might be worth a shot.

Also, the instructions are wrong (gee, there's a shock) about Trypticon's purple cannon barrels. They should be extended in ship mode (to make the towers look more like guns). and collapsed in city mode.

I hope they do a bow battlemaster.

Sadly there is a lack of useful 5mm ports in the area where Full Tilt attaches. Of the 3 Titans with weaponizer partners, Trypticon seems to have the least amount of useful 5mm ports with Metroplex having the most. Trypticon also has some deceiving screw holes that are slightly larger than 5mm.

As for the shoulder cannons, I know how you think they should be, but this is my personal preference. I prefer them extended in city mode to give a taller silhouette. I do usually also have them out in ship mode as well, but they would have interfered with the cannons I added from by 2 Brunts. Probably would have been fine when I only used 1 Brunt.

Went to a Walmart a little out of my way yesterday but finally sighted wave 3 deluxes. Picked up Brunt (the only one of the lot I really wanted). It's kind of satisfying to know that everything I want form this line I have except the pricier Jetfire, and Omega Supreme (which isn't even out yet). As others have said, I'll probably wait until a sale closer to end of year to get both of these, that gives me time to save up, and *hopefully* knock off one or 2 of the even pricier/older TT Legends items I've been holding off on.

New Images for Transformers Siege Impactor and Mirage showing in Package and Finalized Deco

Seibertronians Microbot and Nemesis Primal found new images of Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege deluxes Impactor and Mirage. These specific ones were found on the BBTS website where they are available for preorder. These stock images show us the finished toys, unlike the previous images we got that showed 3D renders. We also have images of them inside their box. These toys will be out in October and they are in even cases made up of Mirage, Impactor, Sixgun and Barricade. Enjoy the images below and let us know what you think. Mirage, for instance, seems to have quite the imaginative transformation.

 "Less Stupid" should Siege's sub-subtitle. One could argue that Siege is pulling all the good ideas and culling all the bad idea from the Prime Wars trilogy.

The latter. CW Brawl was a dinky little thing, this Impactor is practically Voyager-sized, even taller than Ironhide.

I think it's just the hollowed out tread legs that gives the impression of similarity.

So, Impactor: he's growing on me in spite of people saying he's ugly. But then again his big ugly mug seems to remind me of an '80 action hero like Ahnuld or Stallone so that works well for him. His colors seem a pretty mixed bag and never look the same in pictures so I'll have to wait and see how it looks in hand.

Anybody else want to see him retooled into Demolishor, btw?

It kind of bugs me that only the blue parts on Mirage are translucent (even more so that it isn't all of them) but It doesn't look bad.

Picking up impactor tho the autobot sybmbols in kind of a weird place and will be awkward looking when replaced with a sticker to keep all the autobot symbols red. Fingers crossed Hasbro doesnt just use a repaint for warpath.

Mirages alt mode is a lot worse than it appears in the image, the spoiler reminds me of an old 80's robot car that had its legs sticking straight up despite how flat/plain Mirage looks. I do like his bot mode and will probably pick one up on sale but repaints are going to be hard to justify the price for a figure that essentially only has a robot mode for me.
