Maybe we should thank the KO makers for driving up the prices of the originals!

Finally broke down and bought this guy off of eBay. I don't care much for the character, bur feel my MP collection needs him.

Given how tall he was in the show, I feel this MP could just as easily fit into a CHUG collection since it's as tall as a CW Combiner in its "Battle Up!" mode, as as tall as a big Voyager in its standard robot mode.

Frankly, I wish this MP had been bigger, with the standard Saber robot being more scaled to the height of Ironhide/Ratchet or Inferno/Grapple/Artfire, and the full Star Saber robot being closer to the height of a Unicron Trilogy Supreme class figure.

FYI since I still see people missing this, the smaller hilt is the "toon accurate" hilt. It'll fit in Star Saber's hand allowing the blade to face forward easily. The larger hilt is for toy accuracy.

You should have said so. Ss is simplicity at his finest when you compare the original figure (even if only via Ryan's images) and the anime. Both original fig and anime are miles apart.

The MP version on the other hand is like exacto mundo copy unlike with some other MPs that have both anime/comic/toy mix (i.e IH's butt wheels). Only thing not anime accurate is that he doesn't have a separate helmet to recreate Jean's piloting the V-star using the "battle up" as the cockpit.

Little sidenote. Original production documents from the Victory cartoon were unearthed awhile back that revealed Star Saber's son to have been named "Jan" (the original fandom spelling) all along, with the later fandom spelling of his name as the French "Jean" turning out to be a misnomer.

That dang Victory cartoon..Pretty sure I need Star Saber for no reason other than to play the theme song and have a good time.

He'll definitely face off against CW Liokaiser. It'll be the best.

I've been debating getting him as well. I haven't been following ebay prices, can he be had at a reasonable price? I notice he's selling in the $150-160 range at the e-tailers.

I got him for about 125 on eBay. He does for anywhere in the 100 to 150 range. Depends on your luck, really.
