Re: Transformers Legacy Line Discussion

Just saw the Nacelle order cancellation news and I have to say I partly blame this site's reporting on the matter. We may not have gotten word from Hasbro (did anybody actually, y'know, email them to ask??) but I'm pretty darn sure the substance was in fact positively identified as mold release fluid (which btw is similar to soap) that wasn't hosed off. Not super-commom on finished toys, but it's quite a common issue in the model kit world, so I trust people with experience there when they identify it. I hope Hasbro puts Nacelle back out there - and reaches out to everyone who had their order canceled.
Changing topics to a different figure, I recently wound up with Legacy Blitzwing; Hasbro sent me a consolation figure due to my complaints about Armada Megatron (the lack of full shoulder rotation is unacceptable and had better be fixed for Galvatron)... aaaand out of all possibilities it turned out to be Putzwing. I had no interest in him, but after getting landed with him (and learning the friend I was thinking of giving him away to already had one) I figured I may as well make the most of having him (especially while TR Blitzwing's restoration remains a work in progress). But hoo boy am I glad I didn't buy him, because in hand he's worse than I thought.
Complaints before owning him:
* Clunky transformation in the name of Xtreme Toon Accuracy that 1. makes his jet mode look like a plane flying around with a display base stuck to it (something that unlike Astrotrain's shuttle gap is a lot more noticeable), 2. ballooned him to Leader-class, and 3. probably wasn't even actually necessary for fhe intended goal
* Making the Energon Weapons red undermined the Xtreme Toon Accuracy by making the canopy and pseudocanopy red instead of blue.
Additional complaints now that I own him:
* Lack of full shoulder rotation (and unlike Armada Megs there are no fix kits)
* Guns are badly designed and block his wrist rotation when inserted.
** Sword does this, but to a lesser degree.
* The energon weapons fail at their intended robot mode purpose because the internal pegs are way too short; they don't reach the fists at all on my copy.
* The tank barrel's back is trapezoidal instead of round, restricting its elevation to a single angle. There is literally no reason to do this transformation-wise, it's just bad design that hampers what should be one of his best features.
I'll still play with him, since I have him, but I stand by my belief that TR Blitzwing is superior. If they really wanted another Leader-class Decepticon triple-changer they should have gone with Octane. Unlike Astrotrain, Blitzwing does not make good use of the price point. Octane could have.
I have other acquisitions, but I'll get to those later; this is already a major sidetrack from what I came here for right now (which was looking up an image of Armada Overload from a certain view, to show a friend on Telegram).
