Unless that bat hunt in the Great White North in winter, it's still clownish.

Just because the new figure has precedent doesn't make the concept any less ridiculous. :P

I'm not even that hung up on the bat being white, but then he should have a different name. A bat named Nightstrike should be almost all black, like Ravage.

Maybe he is a dick and the other Decepticons :CON: started calling him that as a diss. Also when they look at the list for stealth missions, officers would pick him. Funny way to get him killed, if ur a :CON:

Thundertron, a rocklord, and a bat.

That set is pretty much random.

It’s like a setup to a joke. A lion, a rock and a bat walk into a bar….

Fairly random indeed.

I saw some more pictures and I really like the new headsculpt. It looks like it might be missing an eye? As opposed to the scar that the other one had. And looks like a shinier lighter blue
The bat is random but makes a cool pirate pal. The only one I don't need is the rock lord but it looks cool enough I guess. I'm already getting Shard so I'll have two rock Pirates I guess

Plus if this is at leader price point that'd be sweet
Because based on the wfc prices that'd be the voyager ($30) the deluxe ($20) and a cassette minion ($5, because 2 were $10 before if I remember correctly)
But now that everything is $5 more each, if this is at leader price point thats basically $5 off? Not too shabby. Even if it's above leader price I'm getting that thundertron idc

This Thundertron strikes me as being like the Buzzworthy Bumblebee releases of Earthrise Cliffjumper and Studio Series 86 Kup, and the Selects 5-pack versions of Sunstreaker, Jazz, Wheeljack, and Trailbreaker. We've been getting more and more of these "take 2" versions of characters that seem to existly mainly to correct something that Hasbro either didn't like or felt was a mistake with the first release. In this case, it's Thundertron but with the correct head.

Also, Nightstrike turns into an inverted Jolly Roger flag. That's adorable.

Lockdown, a character who has been depicted with a hook hand 90% of the time: has to hold a gun with a hook in it to simulate a gun hook hand
Thundertron, a character who has never been depicted with a hook hand: gets retooled to have a molded hook hand....because pirate, I guess?
...this is a joke right?

Nightstrike is cool, but I can't justify a $60 set for just a cassette, and I still don't like the rocks.

That Walmart 3-pack is an odd combination indeed, but we've definitely seen some random things thrown together in recent years, under the most thinly veiled of themes that some marketing guru could come up with. I definitely want Calcitron. What is odd is that recently, someone who posted an early review of Nucleus had some comparisons with Magneous. One of the shots had Magneus look cobalt blue, and I thought it was some random new repaint that the reviewer was secretly dropping. He confirmed that it wasn't anything new, just odd camera lighting (which was true because it didn't have any new sculpting). Yet here we are less than a week later with a reveal of, in fact, a cobalt blue repaint of Magneus, but with a new head sculpt  .

I think a lot of fans will be parceling this out on the secondary market, as is the case of many of these random releases. Keep what you want, sell off the rest. Its amazing how we as fans do so much to "redistribute" product 8-) .

Slipstream should be cool

Hopefully quake is good, I'm not really attached to the character
Deluxe Optimus is interesting for sure

Soundwave... I have netflix Soundwave. If this leader class comes with a new Ravage mold I'll be very sad

Straxus is glorious I NEED IT

Hasbro Confirms Upcoming Legacy Figures with Package Art During Livestream

Today's Hasbro Pulse livestream on YouTube was Studio Series heavy when it came to in hand reveals, but at the end of the stream during their Spacebridge portal reveals they gave us our first look at some long leaked figures making up Wave 4 of Legacy. Surprisingly instead of using random art they used the actual package art that will appear with the toys at the end of the year! We also got a few tidbits about what to expect from some of the figures:

Core Class Energon Galvatron (obvious Energon Megatron repaint)

Core Class unnamed purple and gray repaint of Bouldercrash

Deluxe Class Quake (appears to have two transforming Targetmaster partners ala Needlenose)

Deluxe Class Slipstream (Windblade retool)

Deluxe Class G1 Optimus Prime (based o the original toy!)

Voyager Class Metalhawk (toy colors, not a package refresh)

Voyager Class Animated Motormaster (Animated Optimus Prime retool)

Leader Class Soundwave (Netflix repaint) with three unnamed tapes they'll reveal later

Leader Class Armada Galvatron (Armada Megatron repaint as seen on Tidal Wave's box)

If that preview art is anything to go by, she looks awful. She's just a purple and teal redeco of Windblade's body with some random non-female dude's head that looks nothing like Slipstream's noggin.

The head does look derpy but I chose to ignore it and hope the package art isn't accurate lol

If she has that thwomp head ill skip and hope for a retool down the line. I prefer the Animated style head

There's still the fact that she's supposed to be a Seeker but doesn't have a Seeker body.

And don't cite Legends Slipstream as precedent since that figure was retooled to have Seeker attributes in robot mode beyond being just a mere head swap. >:oP

I like the idea of her being a more stylized seeker instead of looking like skywarp with gray and teal, so I wouldn't have minded the windblade wings and legs. I really don't like those fluffy arm/shoulder things though. I'd have preferred new molding for torso and upper arms. A feaux cockpit chest would've been fine by me

I like the idea of finally having a Galvatron with the right G1 colors on an almost Legion class figure (3 inches tall). It's just sad that the alt mode isn't a cannon but instead a spaceship.

A bit of a shame that Soundwave is just the Netflix repaint, but I'll take it.

As for the Missing-Linkish Optimus Prime, I didn't saw this one coming.

I know one of the design team really wants to do a "whole new" toy for SS86 Soundwave, but I don't know how much more accurate they could make it than the Netflix one? I imagine this Legacy United Wave 4 Leader class release will have the leftover bits from the siege "space ship" one removed. As for the 3 cassettes, since they are now not bound by who appeared in TF:TM, most certainly; two of them will be Buzzsaw and Ravage. About the 3rd, I'm just not sure if they will go "classic" and include Laserbeak (but that would be 2 Condors in one release), or go with Ratbat for added value?

G1 Optimus? Now I don't feel that bad about not getting Missing Link.

I'm intrigued by Quake, and is that will that Soundwave be SS86? Or will we get a separate SS86 version, like we did with Blaster?

I want to see that new Straxus.

It's gonna be Buzzsaw.

They're gonna make me buy this a**hole again just to get Buzzsaw, aren't they? :-(

Straxus's box art gives us a tiny glimpse at who the fourth and final Marvel Comics-inspired figure will be, and it's someone who has yellow hands and maybe red arms?

At first I was thinking Blaster since he'd be Straxus's rival, but nope, Blaster had blue hands in the comics.

So Optimus and Soundwave are the most boring options they could have gone with, cool.
I can't tell any differences between Metalhawk in that art and the already-released version?
Quake and Motormaster look solid.
Slipstream is looking like she's gonna be ROUGH, may have to just pass and try to wait for a proper Animated update whenever they inevitably make a Starscream mold.
No interest in the Cores.
Still trying to wait out a Megazarak from that Armada Megs mold.

I don't know which thread the Straxus comments are supposed to be in right now, but he looks spectacular, they remolded way more than I had hoped for.

There's a rumor that cropped up I think within 24 hours before this that's saying a 2-pack of Flame and Xaaron, so I guess the hand would be Xaaron and the red bit would be Flame if that ends up being accurate? There's also the rumor we've had of Marvel colors Soundwave floating around for like a year now, no clue if anything's happening with that if this tease is indeed the last of the capsule.
