I have both. I like the convertible alt mode of RotF better, but the robot deco on DotM better. What is weird is that despite having a roof on the car, the DotM version does not tab together as securely as the convertible. RotF is in a bin right now, so I haven't had a chance to look at the 2 side(swipe) by side(swipe) yet. But just going from memory, the RotF one is more solid in alt mode.

Edit: I just realized you asked about OG DOTM deluxe and not SS-29. In that case, he is much better. I couldn't stand the feet on the old version.

Same god-awful feet though. About the only thing I like from that mold was the blades and being able to make giant scissors hands.

Interesting that AOE Crosshairs wasn’t mentioned in this list but was on the prior one.

Even if there aren’t a ton of Bayverse figures next year, I’m super happy with the choices! DOTM Bee and Sideways are some of my most wanted figures, can’t wait to see how they look.

Galvatron is one that I might have skipped during Studio Series’ heyday since there were so many figures from the first 3 movies coming out, but with the lighter lineup we’ve seen more recently I’ll likely get it. Really interested to see how they handle that design!

With further confirmation of next year’s listings, I have a couple questions for everyone:

1. Which of these are you most excited for?

(Definitely DOTM Bumblebee for me)

2. What Studio Series figures are at the top of your wishlist now that we have these listings?

DOTM Bee, Sideways, and TLK Hot Rod were all high on my list, so I think Que and Hatchet now take top spot, along with a new AOE Bumblebee.

Not that many Bay figures sadly, but at least there are a couple important ones. I am most excited for Hot Rod and Galvatron.

Hatchet and Que are still high on my list, as his the TLK Con crew, and a Commander Infernocus and titan Driller

I would have loved a leader class SS Galvatron, but I guess I'll take what I can get. I just hope the SS quality and design stay at the level they have been or get better if that's possible.

I really want to see how The Fallen turns out. After that, I'm pretty excited for Sideways, DotM Bee, Galvatron, Hot Rod, and Sludge. I'm also very intrigued by Rumble.

EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:2. What Studio Series figures are at the top of your wishlist now that we have these listings?
Probably Hatchet, as we're long overdue for an accurate one. A new Frenzy, Que/Wheeljack, AoE Bee, and maybe an evasion Prime would be nice.

Also Devcon. Please HasTak.

Top of my wishlist is the rest of the AOE Dinobots made to match the Grimlock we got in the very first wave.

I am most excited for Galvatron just to see how they make that one work.

Also, got a question. I read here that ROTF Bumblebee is better than the Movie 1 06 concept Camarro Bumblebee. Can anyone tell me how it's better?

I think as long that the '86 G1 Dinobots are not complete, the AoE ones remains a pipe dream.

As for Galvatron, it's the one I'm looking forward the most. Especially because he's a voyager. I wonder how they will pull it off? :-?

Well if they want to be totally screen accurate, it'll be a crossover with Lego.

Sure.
But if Nero is any indication, I'm sure they could make the truck cap turn inside-out with minimum kibble.

I'm really surprised we haven't seen any since Grimlock! I don't know if I'd get them all, but a really big Strafe would be cool.

As for ROTF Bumblebee, The feet have been slightly remolded so that they tab in better than 07 Bee, and the plastic is a more accurate orange-yellow.

There is a slight downside that the grill on ROTF Bee is missing some important paint apps, but overall the improved feet and plastic color make ROTF Bee the better of the two IMO.

I'll admit - I'm most curious about 86 Deluxe Arcee from the SS86 stuff.

Can anyone remind me if 86 Arcee is just Earthrise Arcee again?

I never saw it confirmed that was the case, which is why I'm...curious.

It has been strongly rumored to be ER Arcee with a new coat of paint, yes, which makes sense considering Coronation Screamer is also just his ER mold but with some extra bells & whistles.

What makes no sense is releasing that terrible mold in a main line for 3 consecutive years.

Transformers Generation Studio Series Core Tf7 Wheelie 5010994112134
Transformers Generation Ss Core Tf7 86 Ratchet 5010994112141

Any idea why these are both labeled TF7? Would normally assume that means they're for the 7th live action movie that hasn't released yet, but neither to my knowledge is expected to be in that movie, based on everything we've seen so far. Ratchet is also labeled 86, which would be the animated movie. And I just can't see them bringing back Wheelie the humpbot.

Also still really unclear on what they're doing with all these Bumblebee movie characters that never transformed in the movie...

Well, at least leader class Fallen and Sludge might be fun.

Got some pics of DOTM Ratchet!

I was a little skeptical of this figure at first since I already had the original DOTM deluxe, but the shade of green and the gun drew me in. I’m glad I did! It’s a lot like SS Starscream, I thought the DOTM deluxe was just ok, but the updates to it make it one of my favorite figures!

My Jolt arrived today...and within seconds of taking this more than £20 product out of the box I was slapped with a major quality control issue: the plastic surrounding the pin that connects the car kibble to his left thigh snapped as I was re-positioning the kibble, so now the kibble piece doesn't attach to the thigh very well, keeps popping off, and because it snapped at an angle the pin will no longer rotate into place for the transformation, so the car ends up with a huge gap in its side where the doors should be. I've wasted my damn money again :-(

I still longing for the other 3 live action dinobots. Those 3 are so long overdue in this line
