Update: Regarding DA, make sure you use the old version and not Eclipse, because Eclipse is worthless.

I am beginning to think Blackarachnia might be posed outside of the main Decepticon shelf, since she can do this and there are blinds in the Den

I own the figure, but I won't lie I'm not too high on it. I do love that sword, it's magnificent. I wish the MP could hold it properly, it would look great.

I love the fire/magma sword aesthetic, it is so badass, it really needs to be used more

My only complaint about Grimlock is the elbows. I wish there was a way to either push them up into the arm or lock the black portion to the upper arm, as is it looks like he has two elbows. Otherwise the Dinobots are great, I even got the Adventures versions and have considered getting the shiny Japanese animated versions, too.

I know it has to do with the aesthetic, but his upper arms are too long.

Even for a "hulking brute" type character? And even though they're his dino mode legs and he's a "body perpendicular to legs"-type T. rex?

Yes. The points on the shoulders need to be chopped off, along with maybe a 1/4 inches of arm. So the arm ends just a bit above where it connects to the upper body. It would look better then.

It would look horrendous in dino mode, and give him scrawny biceps.

I love Animated Grimlock, just a fantastic toy and a great update. He goes great with his brothers.

He really does, Snarl and Swoop both look pretty awesome with him!

New pics of my Animated shelves coming too, now that the crew is all together

Thanks to Rodimus Prime, I got a very nice Botcon animated figure. And I think this might be my new favorite Animated figure

The Animated Rodimus mold is awesome (still need to get my hands on one), and Sideswipe there wears it very well

You're dead lucky to get your hands on him! I've no hope of scoring the BotCon animated stuff (lack of money and all) but they are pretty to look at

Yeah, that's a very good mold, and you got 2 of the 3 I had. I still have my BotCon Stunticon Breakdown.

I'm just a PM away. :-D I also have a Prowl, Jazz, a complete mint Grimlock and a loose Shockwave heading to the auction block. I remember when I first got into collecting Animated, it reminded me of when I collected G1 back in the day for some reason. The UT toys nor the Generations figures hadn't done that. Maybe because they were so colorful and really looked like the characters come to life.

Animated finally got a 2nd shelf to stand alongside the first. Really happy with having the bots and cons side by side proper now, and don't worry about the extra space on the cons side, the cons will be growing this year!

Leader Megs is I think still the best figure to come out of Animated after Grimlock and Lockdown.

Those 3 are my top guys.

I may try to track down Ultra Magnus next year.

Unfortunately as much as I like his robot mode, his gimmick-ed waist keeps Voyager Prime from being a top notch figure.
