Well we know very little about the already-announced Nemesis, could the WFC Trypticon be its robot mode? I understand it's not technically in the SS line, but if they made the robot mode look like Trypticon, without calling it that, it would be an acceptable cheat. Unless it's been confirmed that it will look exactly like the Nemesis from the G1 cartoon?

Rumors (and logic) dictate that it will be the Nemesis from the G1 cartoon.
I also heard that she will be a fembot. If she is, I hope she will looks properly female with minimum kible (no shellforming), not a dude with the "she" label (like too many "fembots").
And the Legacy Evolution poster showed the Nemesis's face that was initially mistaken for Tarn's face.

Funnily enough, I grabbed the poster pic from this post.

Touche.

I had completely forgotten about that, in my memory that was confirmed to be Tarn's face. Obviously, having that great figure in hand, I know otherwise.

I just like speculating for the fun of it. :-D

Oh wow.
The Ark have the :BOT: face.
Nemesis will have the :CON: face.

I love the consistency! :APPLAUSE:

Now let's hope the ship and body will be as good.

And yet SS Commanders are on the table now, based off the SS86 Magnus listing/rumor we've had since December.

I think its way too early to speculate that they're already making a commander or titan class figure of a character from this game series (which, keep in mind, hasn't had a new release in like a decade and is currently delisted and not available for purchase digitally). We don't even know if they're going to do some of the highly desired characters in deluxe or voyager, nevermind a freaking titan.

I suspect we're only getting these because they know there's some G1 fatigue and/or the Beast Wars characters sold better than they were expecting in Kingdom and Legacy, so they're exploring some of the lesser touched Transformers universes to gauge interest. Legacy is largely doing the same thing by throwing in comic, Prime and Unicron Trilogy characters.

It may happen eventually if this subline does well, but I highly doubt its already in the works.

Sam Smith posted some comparison images of the original Generations OP and the new SS OP, and it's definitely an improvement as far as size. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpi_le8uDJX ... hare_sheet

Can also apparently transform his axe to make it look like the in-game double bladed axe, or the cutscene single bladed.

The vehicles are basically the same, but the deluxe bot is much better looking. Still, I'm sure the voyager will be much, much simpler to transform. Plus, he big. So he'll still be worth it.

Now that I see them side by side, I gotta say the deluxe looks better. If we could have gotten that in voyager size, it would have been great. Nothing really wrong with the new version, it just looks a bit too simple in comparison, at least in robot mode.

Looking back at the pictures, I think there's some misstransformations going on. Even on the official pictures. I'm sure those kneepads can flip up. A step too often forgotten on the Classic mold too. If they forgot the kneepads are a thing, they may have missed some other steps too.

I mean, it specifically says on the image he mistransformed the knees, LOL.

I'd argue the original looks more like the concept art, but the new one looks more like the actual in-game model. He's a lot wider and boxier in-game.

Oh, now seeing the actual in game model, the deluxe is now "all wrong" and the voyager is like a mini MP. That is, after the obligatory gap filler upgrades and the reprolabels.

I wouldn't necessarily call it G1 fatigue in general, but the same old reissues over and over fatigue.
There are IMO a lot of bots left to do for a debut in Legacy or SS86 lines, like Pwerglide etc.

I mean was there a specific reason why Arcee was reissued three times back to back in three year span?
I call that one out as the biggest offender because the first two were on clearance while the third release was on the way... Plus it was essentially the 2014 mold, which is likely why most people didn't need it again. Same with Prime, Siege, ER and Kingdom all basically the same year after year.
Not to mention the repaints for other characters as well as the odd repaints or SG.

Yet where's ER Sunstreaker, Prowl or Thrust etc. reissues?

Interesting that the Cliffjumper coming to Gamer Edition SS is mentioned as the DS version, which is a straight repaint of Bumblebee. The render used for the pipeline reveal is of his Fall of Cybertron version, though, which has a different head sculpt that looks more like his Prime version.

The original Generations toy also had a different head from Bumblebee.

Speaking for me, I specifically want that FOC head, that is the Cliff I want

The Studio Series Gamer Edition figures are coming! For those still on the fence, we have in hand images of Optimus Prime and Barricade. The Optimus Prime images were posted on the MN TOY POSSE Facebook page, while the Barricade images come from a PrimevsPrime review which we also posted below. We thank Kanrabat for giving us a heads up on it. Some key points are a shot of voyager Optimus' back and an image of Barricade vs the deluxe FOC toys from a decade ago which shows that not all was roses back then either.

Yeah, the FOC year was the year I had the impression the deluxes were saying "FOC U" with how tiny and cheap feeling they were.
It was also then that the choice was made to bring back up the quality but with the massive price hike that was inevitable with it.

Also, is the voyager Optimus doing the GOATSE in vehicle mode? Talk about lazy. I expect an upgrade kit to fix that but it shouldn't be.
Not a dealbreaker for me, but that's annoying.

Barricade was a must buy for me. After seeing how his arms and shoulders are, nope. Add in all that kibble. Legs, back. No thank you. I'll conserve my money this time. Prime, still on the fence

Pass on both figures. I do hope they do Shockwave, though. He needs a voyager figure. If there will be a Grimlock, He will be leader class, right?

Pretty eager to get both, though I still find Barricade's feet a little weird, especially with their posability. So far the line at least seems promising (imo), I'm interested to see how they'll tackle the rest of the game models.

Man, they better finish the AOE Dinobots before tackling the FOC Dinobots

Agreed, but going by their track record, I'm not optimistic.

Considering SG Grimmy and the upcoming G2 Grimmy, we're probably not going to be seeing more movie dinobots for a while...

All the pictures and reviews of Barricade make him look like a dumpster fire in robot mode. Not that I was planning to ever get one. But that, and Prime's flaws, does make me worry what they're going to with the Megatron voyager.
