I'll be pasing on theese two. Race car modes for both are still pretty bad though Shadow Strip looks pretty good as an arm -the colors make him look less like a bulldozer gone wrong. Honestly prefer fracture over crasher, if she had been the potp Jazz mold then maybe (it's not like its a big deal to hasbro to have incompletable combiners hahahaha). Depends on what/if they use a figure as a repaint/retool for Gobots Psycho.

Hotrods still going to be crazy priced if it's £33 for a voyager deluxe but seeing as they havent got his colors right yet the toy color version might work for me (and if they paint his roof the right color -they finally got clampdowns lambo panels paint matching so who knows)

Agreed, Toon accurate colors would have been nice.
I was personally hoping for an IDW Rodimus (considering IDW Blurr exists) or a SG Hot Rod, but it does seem like even the people who are saying they might get the Toy Colors one would still rather have the magenta anyway, magenta seems like it would have been a safer bet than what they're going with.

It's not like with our expectation of Armada Blurr where we were seeing Unicron Trilogy signs everywhere and knew we were getting a suitable base mold (Pointblank).
People weren't expecting Universe Shadow Striker, they were expecting a Generations version of the much-more-well-known Cyberverse Shadow Striker as presumably an Elita-1 repaint/remold.

"Shadowstrip" actually looks like a pretty cool repaint. Kinda makes me wish that Menasor's other arm could use it. Sadly, I gather it was set up only to work with Dead End. But a matching black car looks really good as Menasor's arm...

I'm always a sucker for toy-accuracy, I'll happily pick this Hot Rod up if it even has tampographs to mimic the sticker detailing like what was done with the Titans Return toys.

Hot rod interesting because the legs on the origional toy and animation model are very different.

Yeah, that's what makes me interested to see how they'll go about it. I still prefer the toy colours over the 'toon colours anyway but I'm still hoping they lean more into it to really make it more worthwhile than that one Netflix Prime set that vaguely had the same colours as the toy and nothing else.

Er, "Shadowstrip" and "Decepticon", surely?

Anyway, it's nice that they're (hopefully) giving (all?) the G2 versions new names, so we can either imagine they're upgraded forms of the same characters (à la Soundblaster and Twincast) or new characters in their own right (à la Soundblaster again).

This latest version of G2 Dragstrip reminds me of the old "John Player Special" version of the Tyrrell P34 car, which Dragstrip was based upon.

I would love an additional Stunticon and that deco is awesome. I had some of the CW repaint a I liked as bonus Stunticons so it will be nice to roll over some more of that team

I do kinda personally wish they used a toy-based head for Shadowstrip to help differentiate him from Drag Strip (well, aside from the entirely different deco.)
But I'm likewise open to having more Stunticons, it was pretty fun getting Offroad.

I'll get Crasher and Shadostrip. Hopefully we get the rest of G2 Stunticons and none of them are tied to unrelated box sets.

Going to have to see Hot Rod first and hope the blurb for it is just wrong (since toys colors are more rust orange than true red). The only major difference between SS86 Hot Rod and G1 toy Hot Rod would be orange legs, lots of tampographs and maybe the flame designs. Not sure if that's enough to warrant a rebuy. It's especially frustrating knowing SS86 Hot Rod was supposed to be magenta but got nixed by higher ups at Hasbro, this was probably its last chance of happening. Maybe Target will finally do it in the Buzzworthy line like they did Kup and Cliffjumper.

Not sure if I'll go for Crasher. I have Fracture already and I like the idea of having her as a different mold from Mirage, plus Fracture's feet are more Seismic Stomp worthy
Shadowstrip, I'll grab. I do hope we get a full set of G2 Stunticons

Crasher looks pretty good, I guess I can get her to go with the other Gobots in Road Ranger and BugBite so far.

I wish Shadowstrip had been Cyberverse Shadow Striker instead using a different mold, or that he had gotten a new head at least, but that paint scheme is super nice, and I think I'll get him solely for that reason, plus it's a good mold.

I wonder why they decided to call G2 Dragstrip "Shadowstrip." Also, those colors look very nice on the Legacy mold. While I'm not getting this figure, I hope that they release all of the G2 stunticons because I know a lot of people would want that.

Are you sure your Walmart didn't get them and they're gone already? Came out about a month ago. I feel like I saw them and then they were gone just as fast. I thought they were going to be shelf warmers, but people seem to really like these.

I just want to point something else out about this whole "too many Hauler" thing that some fans are unaware of. Unlike the deluxe case assortment, US walmarts are using SOLID CASES for voyagers. The assortment is 2 overrides and 1 Hauler BUT since you guys are getting solid cases instead, you will have some walmarts with nothing but Hauler and others with nothing but Override. Since Hauler is the short packed one, he is one of the rarest toys in wave 1, like Cosmos, in countries which are only getting assortments. So when you hear of countries like the UK getting boxes of just Cosmos, a short packed figure, and wish you were as lucky, well you are. With Hauler.

One of my local Walmarts hasn't even put tags out yet. As of last Saturday they had a few Haulers on the overhead shelf and that was it, the pegs and lower shelves were full of other stuff.

My minions have seen all the wave 1 Velocitron figures at the nearby walmarts, except Cosmos. Bah! They've even seen a few Haulers, though I've passed on that one since I already have ER Grapple.

They also gave notification that the Wild Rider figures are (finally) shipping from Pulse.

In my area, everything except Cosmos is starting to shelf-warm, INCLUDING Clampdown. I've been to 3 Walmarts in two days and they all had at least 1 Clampdown and plenty of the others. Of course, this is one are, but they were definitely flying the first few cases. Now the rabid have all theirs and it's regular product.

I really think we are using the "shelf-warm" term too loosely to the point where it loses meaning. If Clampdown, which has been on shelves for barely a month, is considered a shelfwarmer, then what do we call the Studio Series Blurrs and Kups from last year that I still see on shelves?

No, I agree....I use the term as familiar, but not to kill the meaning of it. I don't think any of them are actual shelf warmers just yet. The market is starting to cool, lets say. But in the case of Clampdown, he was going right along with Cosmos. Now I can walk in dry and see him.

Well, then they're both shelf-warmers, just with possibly slightly different reasons for the state they are viewed as being in.

I think the point is we need a new term for "figures that don't sell as fast as their case mates" vs. "figures that don't sell, period."
