I’m with you. Such a great toy line. I find myself making such great-looking kickass poses so often I’m reluctant to move some of the figures to transform and swoosh around. Solid builds with great sculpts and excellent detailing along with superb articulation equals unparalleled toy experience.

I'm not with you :p but coming to view Siege as good looking action masters for the most part.

Seriously? You’re comparing Siege figures with non-transformable, minimally articulated, cartoonish robots manufactured in the late eighties/early nineties? We’re just going to have to agree to disagree, as I just don’t even know where to start that discussion.

Cartoonish, but more show-accurate than its contemporaries, like Siege is.

Show-accurate would involve transformations :-)

Perfect responses  you’re killin’ me here

It’s like the only thing bugging me honestly I love everything except the eyes. Was that a thing like before the Robosmasher his eyes were a different color? I’m forgetting where orange eyes came from. Autobots have blue eyes it’s a thing dangit.

I think the eyes just came from "Let's save a bit of money and only cast the translucent pieces in one color". Especially as we've seen prototypes that had blue eyes

Also, I just picked up Springer today. He's definitely better in hand, especially the copter mode. He's a little fiddly in some respects, but definitely a great figure. I do wish the backpack tabbed in better though

Just noticed this about an hour ago, but Siege Mirage is actually going to be the last retail Transformers figure I'm going to buy this year, that was a shocking realization!

Yep. Studio Series is done for the year, Cyberverse is done until we get new spark armor reveals, and Siege wave 5 and Omega won't be till next year, and I'm not getting retail Impactor, Barricade, or Thundercracker.

It's pretty much Mirage, the Fan Vote 3-pack, Smokescreen, Bluestreak, Lancer, Cromar, Star Convoy, MP Blackarachnia, some Flame Toys and a Diaclone. And maybe Ratchet, but he isn't a priority cause I like the RiD2015 one on my shelf with Drift

Are you not in on Siege Apeface or Astrotrain? Amazon has those coming in November and December according to my pre-orders. Also, what about Rung, Singe, Rumble, Ratbat, Direct Hit and Power Punch? If wave 3 Battlemasters and wave 4 Micromasters are already out, then certainly waves 4 and 5 respectively should all be out before the end of the year.

Yeah, everything Siege is slated to be out this year, including Wave 5 and Omega (who's arguably out from some retailers). We're still doing one trilogy segment per year like with PotP, we're just getting more figures than before.

It'd be like putting Bayverse Prime into the standard Generations line. Though, if they toned the chins down, it might work ;)^

I can agree with this. animated was so good, we need more of it!
Funny you should say that... ;)

I'm going to be getting the entire wave 5 yes.

I'm going by the Pulse pre-orders, which have a pre-order date of 1/1/2020. They have shown to be more reliable. And considering the time that wave is coming out, i doubt we'll see wave 1 of 2020 for the next part of the trilogy until April next year.

and I am going to wait on a sale for Omega. He's coming out late, so I can wait until the new year to really try to get him.

I'm also going to wait some on Astrotrain too cause this is the first Leader that really doesn't seem to be worth it. Him and SS Shockwave both haven't impressed me yet for their price point.

Astrotrain is the only one with that release date, I just double-checked. Spinister, Crosshairs, and Apeface are all slated for December 1st, and I feel like all of the retail Siege stuff has shown up at brick and mortar before shipping from Pulse anyway. I can only assume that Rung and such will be out around there as well, and given past years where new line Wave 1's have shown up in November/December at some stores, I'm expecting all of them to probably show up at brick and mortar in Novemberish.

Wow!...... Typically once I obtain an item I don't look back at what it currently costs because I don't worry much, but I happened to notice on Amazon that Smashdown was selling for around $25 USD and thought...that cant be right. This is a recently released item. His wave mate Caliburst is still readily available at retail price...but nope...

Pretty much everywhere is sold out out of Smashdown, so the secondary market has taken over with price gouging... This is aspect of collecting I really don't care for. I mean for the most part, Siege items have been readily available, but every once in a while, there is seemingly a shortage of a particular item, and one never knows which its going to be. I guess I should just count myself fortunate I purchased Smashdown for the brief time he was available... Anyone know of any other Siege figures that has had seemingly lesser quantities produced?

I would assume leader Galaxy Optimus. But since demand is low, the after market price may not be that high.

It's possible, but its also still available at regular price on Pulse and most other sites. But demand as you say may be a factor as well.

My guess is when people found out how much they liked Smashdown, they jumped all over that figure and turned it into a hot ticket item, making it harder for the rest of us who haven't gotten one yet to get one at normal price.

Which is sad. I just got them both (Smashdown and Caliburst) when they first became available on Amazon, because I wasn't sure when I'd see them at retail, and it is easier for me to order less expensive items online rather than big ticket items. I recall a few weeks after getting them, seeing a whole row (probably 12) Smashdowns at a local Target and thinking...well, I guess its just as available as all the others. Obviously that didn't last long, hindsight being 20/20 and all that.

I can't imagine how crazy things are going to get with Rung. I'm not even a fan of that character, but I'd like to have all the Battlemasters for the sake of completion. In fact I find it a little odd that the most of the late Siege additions have pre-orders available, but not the Rung/Singe assortment. Perhaps, armed with this knowledge, Hasbro will do like they did last year (produce more PotP deluxe wave 2 to make up for its initial shortage), and make Smashdown a wavemate of Rung/Singe :-?

I hope so. Rung and Smashdown are the two battle masters that seem the coolest. Smashdown for the hammer mode, and Rung because, well it's the closest I'll get to owning a Primus
