Thanks to the sale at target and the 20% off coupon for toys this week I finally picked up Scourge. My only complaint is the top of the alt mode on the the back of the left leg is missing a little bit of blue paint. I noticed it when I transformed him to alt mode. He's a bit difficult to peg together too, but that's not a big deal. As for the bobble head, Nucleon sits in the socket just fine, and Fracas sits in Galvatron's socket just fine too, so I think the looseness has something to do Fracas himself and not the connector as he does clip in solidly. Overall I'm quite happy now that I finally have Galvatron and his henchmen (including Universe 2.0 Cyclonus).

I was tempted to get Blurr but I just can't justify the too blue deco even if the mold is show accurate. I really like Generations Blurr and his giant sniper rifle. I was also tempted to get Hardhead but I extremely dislike the Hasbro face. If Hasbro had gone show accurate for the face that would have been an easy buy.

I hope to find Chromedome on the shelves soon and am looking forward to Megatron and Hot Rod whenever they get released into the market. ;)^

Like, maybe it's something really subtle; but I've got Universe Cyclonus and Bluestreak and quite a few Cybertron figures, and I honestly don't feel anything that different about their plastic compared to my Thrilling 30, CW and TR figures. Even my FoC Soundblaster feels fine. Or am I missing some other point?

you and me both

I think the quality is fine. I have noticed the texture is a bit different, but I'm not worried about breaking anything.

I dont know if its plastic quality per se but I do feel when a plastic is different. Like the plastic on the RID warrior Starscream when compared to TR chromedome, or the plastic on CW Scattershot's wings.

And toys can feel lighter too. I really notice a different feel in the FOC toys. That voyager soundwave just feel so porous, like nothing is smooth. And I also see a difference in plastic on some Prime toys, like voyager megatron, which feels like he was 3-d printed with all the plastic layering visible like when you cut a tree to see the rings.

The plastic on CW and TR so far feels perfectly fine though (aside from the aforementioned Scottershot wings).

And if anyone wants to feel some solid oldschool feeling plastic, just hold that CW Cyclonus in alt mode. Once again, I dont know what it is but those alt mode bits (like the nosecone) just feel more solid than anything else from the past 5 years.

I only got those 2 and Mindwipe at the at the £20 price hyke, as I managed to get Hardhead, Blurr and Skullsmasher at the original £16 point. Your right £20 is ridiculos for a deluxe, when considering that for an extra £5 you can get a voyager.

Exactly. I wouldn't mind paying £16 - and I'm glad places like TRU and Forbidden Planet are still pricing them at that, or at least £17 - but £20 has been my main problem with the line so far.
Where did you get those guys for that price by the way?

However for only $10 I was able to bring myself to pick up the ONLY other figure from the Titan masters line that I wanted...Hardhead.

And what did you think of him? Was he as you expected or better or worse?

He's...unique. As someone who actually detests the idea of Targetmasters and Headmasters(Titan masters is definitely an improvement on the names though), i find myself oddly liking Hardhead as I thought I would. He has a pretty basic transformation but looks adequate i n both modes. I kinda wish he had more paint on him but it's ok for me. My biggest problems have to do with QC issues. Some of the hinges are too loose for my liking, specifically the cannon attachment hinge and his right elbow. His head also is a bit too loose and Furos' leg hinge is definitely loose to the point where it's bugging me. I also really wish he was a tad bigger and had more of a weight to him, (something that's noticeably missing from main Hasbro Tf toys since 2011 sadly). Other than these problems, I'm happy I got him ESPECIALLY for $9.99.

At that price, do others interest you? I know Blurr's paintjob is not great, but its a really good mold that could interest you at that price. Its a bit good and bad because a ton of effort went into the sculpted details on Blurr (like WAY more effort than any other figure of recent memory) but the lack of paint of highlighting of this sculpting makes him look bland instead of highly detailed.

Thats one cool thing takara did, on the legs they put a coat of white paint but thin enough that it wouldnt completely seep through the cracks, making it look like panel lines.

Image

It shows you the effort of the sculpter. Anyways, the sculpting is still there on the hasbro version and at 10$ I think you'd like him.

Plus, unlike CW, there is the use of clear plastic again.

I really wanted that Takara Blurr, but I doubt he'll ever drop to a price I'm willing to pay b

I have yet to get any Takara Legends figures for TR - just Arcee from Generations or whatever - I even paid less than what I got the Hasbro version for (thanks Amazon).

That said, I wish I could've waited till the Deluxes were $10! And the Walgreens mark-up to ~20 is annoying - but I really enjoyed all of Wave 2.

The Hasbro version of Blurr really irks me as it is the main figure that I have a problem with. I like the sculpt for the most part but that bland Hasbro paint job really brings it down. I've wanted a good Blurr for a long time after initially passing Animated Blurr back in the day (had no money to buy him :/) and even missing the Generation figure I was more interested here but more-so in the Takara figure. Unfortunately, I'm pressed for funds at the moment, and I have video games I'm saving up for too, so if I wanted a Blurr, the $9.99 one WOULD be ideal. But i might wind up passing him anyway.

Different time, different animals but browsing among online orders, TR Fortmax seems to range from US$ 100 to US$ 150. And he is less "meaty" than the 1986 version which retailed at around US$ 80 up. So by inflation adjustments, US$ 80 ++ is the buying power of US$ 100 to 150?

No deluxes at any Targets around here but I did find the 1st wave TM's, a few months after the 2nd wave...

Yes I was talking about deluxes, many have said they spotted them at Walmart but there is no photo proof out there. We can only make an article if we have proof.
