Why? Seems like he's not a remold of anything.

If he's his own unique mold, I'm all in.

Kickback is the only one coming out next year, so you will need to either make your choice off Kickback alone, or risk paying aftermarket prices for him later whenever they get around to the other 2. Last time they made us wait about 5-6 years to complete the set. Hopefully they will be a bit quicker this time around.

The T frame pose is pretty bad on Kickback with the wing plastic being too thick (which is probably needed in all fairness), not as bad as Cheetor. I'm definitely passing on him with hoping I dont want the other two insecticons so that he can remain a pass.

Sounds like the perfect toy to invest some money in.

^^^^ This, because we probably won't see anything of the next insecticon until next year at the earliest, at which point Kickback may no longer be available at regular price. I imagine there will be quite a demand for Kickback from those who passed on him once we see the next one. It has me considering getting 2 just based on speculation, especially if I can find them on sale somewhere.

If it follow the Prime Wars Trilogy, we will be getting only one Insecticon each chapters. I know that I'll get my Kickback as soon as he's available. Skipping would be foolish unless one barely have enough money for food.

Yeah u are correct. Mainly I am wanting to see his scale with some other figures before I make a decision. But I always love Bombshell, so no matter what I say now, I will most likely buy them all lol.

I just had a thought: What if Menasor isn't just a test to see if Combiners are worth revisiting, but also if proprietary combiner systems are worth investing in? And that if Menasor does well, and possibly Defensor (assuming rumors are believed), maybe we see an updated LioKaiser to go with Victory Saber and Deathsaurus. I could actually see how it could work: Leozack as a Deluxe+ (Voyager), the limbs as Deluxes, and Jallguar as a Voyager+ (Leader). The breastforce partners would probably be their only accessories assuming they stick with the idea of the combiner kibble being built in, but I think that's fine. If HasTak's feeling generous, maybe a special Deathcobra Deluxe could be released at some point as a replacement arm for Hellbat

I'd rather they do a Monstructor at last instead of another Defensor. I love my CW Defensor and would rather see them finish out the combiner roster

Clarification: the rumor is "if Menasor does well, more combiners are on the table". I'm pretty certain Defensor being next was baseless speculation that got parroted as if it were fact because the one speculating happened to be a leaker.

That's because some people can't tell the difference, happens a lot. Happening with "Prime" Soundwave right now too. No one has ever seen an actual picture of a "Prime" legacy soundwave or even been told that it is coming.

The Prime Soundwave thing was a bit different. There was some actual "evidence" for it in that one of the listings listed him as Prime Soundwave instead of Pr (packaging refresh) Soundwave or something. Although, people didn't let it die even though it was basically deconfirmed since there was also Prime Galavtron instead of Pr Galvatron, and we all know that he wasn't in Prime.

It's still a speculation taken as fact by some people since it was a leaker who speculated when they never actually saw the product. People need to read better and discern speculation from fact.

Sometimes I wish there was a standardized classification system for rumors and speculation. Did the info come from a known source who has been right in the past? Did the leaker identify the source? Is the content something that can be verified after the fact, like the EAN order form or solicitation text? All of these things can translate into a confidence level.

I think the news staff generally does a really good job of calling these things out when they're known, but discussion threads mean anyone with an opinion can jump in. I'm as guilty of that as anyone, but I try to call it out as speculation at the time, in part because I'm pretty much always wrong.

Are there going to be any core class figures in Legacy? Not just small versions of bigger scale characters I mean. Im still holding on to hope :HASBRO: :TAKARATOMY: are going to, eventually, give us the un-released Diver/Waverider Pretender. I would pay core class price just to finally get it.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten all about Iguanus. But before I didnt think they were going to be doing an actual Pretenders gimmick like the originals, or even the primemaster ones. Has that been confirmed?

Pretender inspired. Iguanus is said to have a robot mode based on the shell, with a vehicle mode based on the inner robot's motorcycle mode

Think the various versions of Bludgeon. ;) Iguanus will be only the second Pretender to be styled like that: Gen. Thunderwing and Black Shadow were based on the (transforming) Shell all the way, Gen. Skullgrin had a mechanical head, and TR Metalhawk was inner robot inspired throughout.

Pretty interesting little batch of rumors popped up over the past 24 hours, thought y'all might like to see: 4 leakers have all agreed there's an Amazon-exclusive Wreckers subline coming, and one has given the following info/hints
-It's an "odd mix of figures & choices"
-All repaints of existing figures
-Only exception to the repaints is some 2-packs with retooled "Weaponizers" into a mammoth and a spinosaurus (so I assume they actually meant Fossilizers)
-There is a re-release involved that the leaker says "is Hasbro trolling" that the leaker is intending to paint into "the correct color" after purchasing it
