Nice pics, I really like the claw weapon included with that version of Bee! I'm curious, can he hold it under his hand if you fold the window kibble out?

Got another update today, this one's Jazz! Completely repainted him with an all-new base coat and detailing. I haven't had this figure around much for a while since I've been waiting to find the right base coat, but it's pretty nice! I do wish it had the spoiler on his back, but that's a small issue.

Happy 16th to the 2007 Movie! Really glad Studio Series has let me recreate this team:

2007 Autobots.jpg

We almost have all the bots from this one too, just need a tiny figure of Frenzy and maybe a core class Dispensor!

Damn, this post made me feel old! I still remember seeing the movie in a packed cinema when I was 15. A Core Class Frenzy would definitely be great, and I'm still hoping for another (preferably Voyager) Ratchet that's better than the old Deluxe.

Looks like you finished that Jazz just in time for the celebration! Here's hoping we eventually get Frenzy and Dispensor. Maybe even the Autobot protoform.

This MOFO have been clogging my local TrU shelves since ever and he really overstayed his welcome.

Image

I wasn't even sure they'll ever going to be sold even at 53$CAN on clearance instead of 80$CAN. But lo and behold, yesterday a small kid when asked by his mom what Transformers he preferred to get, he deliberately chose him over the BwBB 4 pack (on clearance at 77$). Then as I was getting out of the TrU, some other guy had a Scavenger in his arms.

So, maybe, just maybe, SS Scavenger's reign of terror is finally ending?

Ooh, Autobot Protoform is a great idea! I really want to see one now xD

Oh wow, that's a long time for Scavenger to hang around! He did hang around more than a lot of other leaders in the US and did make it to Ollie's, but nothing like Coronation Starscream xD

Awesome looking crew! I too am very happy we got the original crew.

We really need core Frenzy, and I too would not mind core dispensor.

On a different note, RotB arcee goes well with smash changer Rhinox

Hasbro's Transformers panels for San Diego Comic-Con have been announced, with the Generations panel taking place on Thursday 20th at 1:30 Pacific Time.

Thursday, July 20 • 1:30pm – 2:30pm, Room 29CD

Hasbro Transformers Generations Toy Panel

Let them come! The Transformers team of Ben (Hasbro marketing), Delaney (Hasbro marketing), and Evan (Hasbro design) take attendees through some all-new Transformers action figures: Studio Series: Rise of the Beasts, the first Studio Series Commander, and Generations Exclusive toy reveals. The team will also hold a Q&A to discuss all things Cybertronian. So, get ready for a panel that’s . . . more than meets the eye.

The wording makes it sound like the focus will mostly be on Rise of the Beasts (which other Rise of the Beasts toys were leaked for this year's Studio Series? I can't quite remember) and the Commander (which we know from leaks is Ultra Magnus), but I do wonder if they'll reveal the last few 1986 figures for this year as well, which would be Core Frenzy and Voyager Ratchet. Also the "Generations Exclusive" bit makes me think this is where we'll finally see Hound and Hatchet.

We have deluxe Nightbird and a couple code-named Core class figures for ROTB.

Man, "the first Studio Series commander" feels like it should be something really exciting. Hopefully it's not just 86 that gets them in the future.

I think Wheeljack was also rumored for the Mirage/Nightbird wave.

I really hope Stratosphere ends up in the commander class. SS86 being the first just sucks so hard

I was about to say that, why wouldn't you launch Commander Class in SS with something from the movie that just came out?

Titan Stratosphere that fits the whole RotB good guys gang (I know it's impossible, shhh).

Because it would make sense and it wouldn't be G1, so naturally they wouldn't think about it.

Because it's likely meant to celebrate the brand's 40th anniversary next year, and something from ROTB isn't really celebratory of that 40-year legacy.

To be fair, neither is the 86 film.

I don't mind too much that they went with Ultra Magnus as the first Commander, though I mainly say that for selfish reasons because some of the tabs and pegs on my Kingdom Ultra Magnus recently snapped off and I haven't been able to repair them, so I'm in the market for a new Ultra Magnus. Stratosphere would be fine as the next Commander after this, though I don't really like Stratosphere that much, so a hypothetical Commander toy would be an easy pass for me.

Thrilling 30 included a lot of AOE stuff since that was the new movie at the time, so I think ROTB should be fair game for that anniversary as well.

ROTB Stratosphere is just a non-name nobody that "no one" care about.
HOWEVAH, so was Cybertron Metroplex.

So, we never know....

So do movie fans just buy anything an everything "just because"? I ask because Stratosphere doesn't seem worthy of Commander or Titan Class based on his very brief role in the movie. Nor was his character all that interesting or appealing, to me anyway. I can possibly see him getting Leader Class just to cover the character and not take such a big risk. He also seems like a character that should be made while the movie is in people's orbit rather than a year or two later when he's totally forgotten.

I would like to see a proper DLX Nightbird, so far that's the only Bot from the movie that interests me design/deco wise. Mirage came close but something seems off in toy form.

It's about how the character looks. These are toys, after all. And he's a big one, so beyond if he's a great character or not, he should get a larger toy.

This. Also, when Studios Series launched in 2018, one of the main gimmicks was trying to be as close as possible to the movies scale.Since then we also got the core class and I remember Hasbro saying in these interviews they were open to using toys larger than Leader class.
