Fellow Seibertronian jordie5150 has been keeping an eye on HasbroToyShop.com to find out when the San Diego Comic Con 2015 exclusive sets will be showing up online - and we have a date: 28th July! If you're still hankering after the SDCC Devastator with multichrome, or the Combiner Hunters three-pack with Chromia, Arcee and Windblade, that's the day to head to HTS.com and place your orders. To refresh your memory on the sets, why not take a browse of our galleries here and here?

This is great news. I'm totally trying to score that Doctor Strange Marvel Legends set. Thanks for the update.

This is very interesting. Usually the exclusives go up 2-3 days the most after the event. Hopefully they'll have plenty to go around, I doubt it though.

Same here. That set is amazing, but I'm really going for Illyana/Magik and Dormammu.

I'm glad that they are giving an actual date for the beginning of this yearly online hellish experience. Likely they have it 2 weeks later to allow for the product to ship back from the convention. I'm also hoping there's plenty to go around, as well as a smooth experience in trying to purchase them. :BANG_HEAD:

Well I'm trying to score one or two things off ebay just so I have less to grab the day of. HTS is one of those stores that allow for things to be sold out of your cart

Those sets are probably gonna be the biggest transformers shelfwarmers in SDCC history, especially that Devy. They really screwed up not going for a G2 deco. Instead they tried to do a "premium version" only to be outshined by Takara and a host of cool 3rd party upgrades for the cheaper version. The fembots will eventually sell. Its such a niche deco aimed towards comic readers. But new heads (new characters) would have made the recipe for a better sell. Maybe a 3rd party can offer something to make the fem clowns more desirable.

After picking up Devy for $127 after tax I've guaranteed myself getting at least one of the upgrade sets from one of the companies! For some reason I still like that SDCC one, but not enough for me to wait and spend $60 more after taxes.

I've already got the fembots from the generations line. Is anyone selling just the weapons set so I can upgrade my set to Combiner hunters?

Well, Takara outshines the SDCC version in functionality, accessories and features, but not in deco. The Takara Devy has as much paint apps as the Hasbro version, just in different places for a more G1 feel. Of all the decos, SDCC has the most amount of paint.

Don't know if this is news, but since people have been talking about a shortage of them, I'll post it. Deluxe Arcee and Chromia (the non-Hunters ones) are on BBTS under new arrivals.

Thsnks. I probably shouldn't have paid that much for Rodimus, but it beats waiting for BBTS and then paying even more for both of them when I don't actually want Skywarp.

I was digging around to see if anyone had the RID Mini-cons up for sale or pre-order. Found them both listed as in stock at Robot Kingdom. They also have the Deployers, but they are listed as a set of two.

Deployers Set of 2Image

If I remember correctly, I think Chuck said, in his video reviews, that he got his Deployers from RK.

Kmart.com has CW Legends Skywarp and Rodimus available (after I paid extra on Amazon, go figure), as well as RiD Warriors Night Ops Bumblebee and Gold Armor Grimlock, and a 3-step Thunderhoof that seems to have come out of nowhere.

EDIT: Please disregard this post, I forgot that kmart.com has earned itself a reputation for not sending what you ordered.

Speaking of amazon they had Rodimus in stock for a hot minute. I hate when 3rd party sellers buy out the stock so quickly just to re-sell at a higher price.

Is the regular price really 201.35$ or is that just the markup put by takaratomymall for buying online? Because all the evidence shows that the actual retail price for all Takara products in Japan is actually the discounted price Amiami and other sell it for, about 18000 Y.

hobbysearch's prices are more to the level of hlj in pricing. As Amiami is the Big Kahuna in discounts (with the exception of artbooks  )
