They kind of failed with bumblebee..all meant to be the same version but none of the bot modes are similar and weven the vehicles differ a bit with the deluxe figure having the worst car mode of the lot -just looks incomplete.

While I'm not interested in either Cyberverse or Earth Spark lines I have to say that at least the aesthetics for the former look better than Earth Spark figures. eek

Have you seen or heard of the Cyberverse warrior class toys of the past 4 years? She's that same type of toy. Less articulation and simpler transformation.

Flashwave wrote:Also, what the heck is that packaging now? It's like they just tied them directly to the Studio Series base and said "Nah, we don't need an overbox.

The younger kids toys are packaged the same way as all other kids toys on shelves, nothing more to it.

I'm still pretty excited to get the Deluxes of this line, especially 'Bee and Megs. The rest look pretty fun for the younguns, might even get those finger puppets because of how silly and cute they look.

I'm only getting figures for the new characters in the series. That Twitch looks really cool, and I'm sure we'll get Thrash in a later wave. I got most of the Deluxes from Cyberverse, and since I have those same characters represented in Generations, there hasn't been a good reason to dig them back out.

Am I the only one annoyed that, after watching the new trailer, Twitch figure can't use her clear blades as swords? I wonder if that was a element that the animators came up with instead of the toy designers?

I am real excited for the line, the show looks good, and when the show looks good, I get excited to get toys of characters I like. That is why I enjoy many Cyberverse toys even if they are not that good.

You can see the Roche in Twitch clear as day, that's why I love her design.

I am disappointed with the fact that Shockwave and Grimlock are 2 of the remaining 3 deluxes of this wave. I would have preferred Thrash and Arcee myself

There's always room for more, the last few Deluxes from Cyberverse didn't come with BAF parts.

I really do hope that the Grimlock and Shockwave Deluxes aren't just reuses of the Cyberverse Deluxe molds.

Thrash has a mode with wheels for feet! All bike bots should have them. Just one more example of why Beast Machines is the best Transformers line.

Now to decide if I'll pick up the Warrior or hold out for a Deluxe. Hopefully they'll announce the latter before the former hits stores.

Earthspark Toy Reveals with One Step Soundwave + Swindle, Deluxe Optimus, Warrior Thrash and Mor

Hasbro is at the London Comic Con and they have revealed some new toys in he Earthspark line. Below are official images from Hasbro along with images of the toys on the show floor which were posted by In Demand Toys.

The reveals are 1-Step Flip Changers Soundwave and Swindle, Warrior Megatron and Thrash, Deluxe Optimus Prime and Shockwave. Shockwave is a redeco of the Cyberverse deluxe figure.

I can anticipate many wondering what the difference is between Warrior and Deluxe Megatron since the deluxe is priced much higher and while the robot modes may look similar, the alt mode is where we see the complexity at play. The more obvious feet in the warrior class' alt mode show how that toy is far simpler in terms of its transformation, which lowers parts count and cost, ect. Also the deluxe figure features more points of articulation, like hip swivels, which even Mcfarlane action figures often lack.

Trash is definitely the most interesting of the lot. Simply because he's truly NEW and FRESH.

I don't like to use this word, but I sure hope Shockwave comes with the optional arm for Mandroid. Or else this BLOWS and now TF fans will know the pain of being a Marvel Legends collector.

EDIT: Shockwave is number 5, so he is indeed the optional piece for mandroid

Oooo, stealth bomber Soundwave looks neato, giving me a lot of Transformers: Cybertron energy.
Thrash looks fantastic as well, and I'm sure there's fun to be had with the others. Not super surprised Cyberverse's Shocky is being reused here but I am intrigued if they'll do something new for him later.

Looking at Twitch’s packaging I think he does come with the alternate arm.

Now the question is if Grimlock uses his Cyberverse mold.

Wait, so does that mean they're reusing the Shockwave animation model as well and just changing the textures, or is it just the same cost-saving measure we saw in the first waves of Cyberverse itself?
