I'd like that as well. I don't want/need another Gen Arcee, doubt they can top the Prime FE and can completely skip all UT homages ;)^

It could be both if Hasbro and Takara play there retool/repaint cards right. ;)

I'm all for a non-G1 Arcee, since the Takara Legends version is absolutely perfect. It's already a great representation of the original G1 cartoon character model. It's also a smaller than average Deluxe Class toy and fits in perfectly with the slightly downscaled Deluxe Class of the War for Cybertron Trilogy toys. If you want a more playable Arcee, there's the Titans Return version which still looks great in its own right and homages an often overlooked part of the G1 cartoon lore, when Daniel became binary bonded with Arcee as her Headmaster, saving his life. Let's see what comes of this Earthrise Arcee.

No, they're not. We've been through this. Any time they appear in official imagery from Hasbro it has grey hands cuz they keep using slightly older prototypes. Not only have multiple separate people's final in-hand copies show that the hands are painted blue, but the most recent official Takara photography in Figure King magazine has them painted blue, as well. They. Will. Be. Blue.

I haven't been keeping up with discussion so I wasn't aware multiple people had copies with blue fists. Good to know that's the case. Weird that Hasbro keeps using the older prototype instead of the official deco, but Hasbro does what Hasbro does.

Exactly, we have had 2 Arcees, an homage to another would be sweet!

An Energon-inspired Arcee could be retooled into Flamewar, who has never had a Deluxe-class mass release and recently got time on-panel in the IDW comics. I don't know how likely it is, but I would be all over that.

Have we seen that the Modulators can be used as armor yet?

Cliffjumper and the Micromaster 2-pack Bombshock & Growl, who are mass retail figures in Hasbro's markets, will be TakaraTomy Mall exclusives in Japan.

Speaking of TTM exclusives. I haven't been able to drum up any more info on Siege NemmyP, anyone know if that's getting a release state side?

I'm at work so I couldn't listen but PrimeVsPrime on Youtube has an Earthrise Wave 1 overview of the Autobots. Good grief I can't wait for these guys to be released!

Same here. I'm not in the market for a new Arcee, but I'm open to being tempted. What's wrong with resting bot face? If they do go IDW, I hope she looks mad/mean. The T30's face is just so ... nothing and always reminded me of TFWiki Twiki.

Well, I'm not too fond of the T30 face, either, but I'm more tired of the idea that "badass = super-angry all the time." There are plenty of friendly badasses out there. The Tick, for example.

It's too bad no one has gotten their hands on the voyagers yet for an early review. The above video would be that much better to have ALL of the wave 1 Autobots, which would include Voyager Class Grapple.

And this makes exactly 1/2 of the known Japanese line to be TTM exclusives in that market.

Which is quite curious. I can see no real rhyme or reason for it.

Can't say I'm very familiar with TTM, but is it any different than retailer exclusive figures like here in the states? Are the figures fairly easy to obtain by people in that market at a reasonable/comparable price?

Think of it like this. Imagine if Hasbro and Takara were to put out another shared line together (like they have with both POTP and Siege), in which the majority of the figures would be sold at standard retail in Japan, while in Hasbro's markets, only half would go to Target and Walmart while the other half would only be sold by Hasbro Pulse from the line's onset, despite all of the figures being ordinary figures intended for normal retail. That's what's weird.

This is just a hunch, but this may be TakaraTomy tentatively acknowledging that the line is aimed more at older fans/collectors, who order online more. Also, don't online-only items have lower production numbers than their physical store brethren? That may reduce the risk of losses if a character hasn't sold particularly well in the past, or don't have high projected sales. :-?

Kinda makes you wonder what the motivation or game plan is. Are retail sales diminishing in Japan, are the retailers refusing to stock the line or do they have something else in mind for standard retail?

We got something similar with Hasbro. No reason really for Siege Ratchet and POTP Wreckgar to be walgreens exclusive and not intergrated into the mainline instead. I know wreckgar wasn't an exclusive in Japan, they must have been saying the same about us. It's just having retailer exclusives for the sake of it, both companies are guilty of it.

Thanks to Sabrblade and carytheone, we now know of some nice new photos of the upcoming Earthrise Transformers toys. Cliffjumper and the Micromaster 2-pack Bombshock & Growl, who are mass retail figures in Hasbro's markets, will be TakaraTomy Mall exclusives in Japan and the Takaratomymall site has new images of these found at the following links:

https://takaratomymall.jp/shop/g/g4904810163244/

https://takaratomymall.jp/shop/g/g4904810163756

We have them all below for you as well. We can see the figures using the modular base components as accessories for themselves. We also see some cross compatibility with Cliffjumper and Siege effect parts as well as how he can use his back as a shield. But before we get there, we also have a video from PrimevsPrime of him playing with some of these new Earthrise toys.

I think it was less the fact that Takara's making some figures exclusive that aren't here that's confusing people, and more the fact that half of the entire line so far is exclusive over there.
