It depends. I haven't purchased any seekers in a while, and the pics are blurry. The number of steps on the seeker makes me think its a voyager, but the pics look like a core Thundercracker.

If it's 1 core and 3 deluxe, that's about right for retail.

If it's 1 Voyager and 3 deluxe, that's actually a pretty good bargain.

It's definitely the Voyager.

We have pictures of the SS AOE Grimlock reissue! So excited for this!

Glad to get a chance at the only Studio Series Bayverse leader I'm missing, and hopefully this is a sign of more AOE Dinobots to come!

I wonder if the painting on that AoE Grimlock will be different this time around?

I suppose the others would sell on eBay.

That's not even really the Alicon, considering the head and axe.

But with the alternative bot head, it’s really close.

So I missed the news— what’s the price of this set?

First Look at Buzzworthy Bumblebee Troop Builder Multipack

The next Buzzworthy Bumblebee box set has been leaked and it's one people will be buying in multiples. The Troop Builder Multipack includes a generic G1 Decepticon Seeker (using the Earthrise Voyager mold), a Quintesson Trooper with two heads (using the War For Cybertron Quintesson Baliff mold), G2 Universe Cybertronian Trooper with two new heads (using the Legacy Skullgrin mold) and Animated Universe Autotrooper with two new heads (using the Siege Ironhide mold). Jtprime17 reports the set as having an MSRP: $77.99 and DCPI: 870-26-0196. If that price holds that's quite the deal as buying three Deluxes and Voyager would normally run you $110 at current MSRPs. Thanks to Seibertronian Sowndwave76 for letting us know!

Given that most of these pictures are from screenshots, it's possible that the color is not just straight up blue like Thundercracker, but maybe more of a teal or violet blue, like some of the generics in G1 episodes.

But with at least two dozen other options before they got to any of the half dozen blue decos that look like Thundercracker, they had plenty of other options to go with. You'd think the purple/lilac Air Warrior would've been the first one they'd go for. Maybe one of the green ones or the decos that look like other characters or something.

Ideally he'd be a "Decepticon Air Warrior" and purple or even that "sea blue" on the right, but I guess they were aiming for the guy on the left.

Personally I intend to use him as Bitstream.

If it's a lighter blue than Thundercracker I might get it, but the rest are a major pass. It's also have even considered that turquoise colored Seeker. In all honesty though I've got plenty Seekers already so I don't really need another one, specifically if it looks essentially like Thundercracker.

I think I will be getting at least 3 of this 4 pack, if not 4. I love the skull and auto troopers. I will probably sell off some of the seekers, unless they are purplerish, then I will keep 3.

It is really difficult to tell from the different photos the actual color of that seeker...
The one of the back of the packaging, both modes look lighter.
Then the one of the bot mode looks darker.
But then the one of just the jet mode looks lighter again.

I can't decide if this is Hastak being coy and appeasing both those who want a random a seeker and those who want Thundercracker or not... I would have to assume this blue is in fact different... But how much?

I think your probably right. They don't have to reissue Thundercracker, as he (appears to be) fairly close to his color scheme, but you can use it as a generic if you want.

I want a(nother) Seeker army, so I may just bite on this one. I just wish I knew which generic Seeker this was supposed to be. That's probably the scene it's from, but still. I'd have preferred it if he were the lavender one instead of the almost-Thundercracker one. Of course this is a good way of giving people a Thundercracker if they don't have one, so maybe that's the point?

I have a Quintesson army too, so that guy has a place. So I have a place for two of these guys at least.

Autotrooper? That brings me back!

G2 Cybertronian trooper ... okay, you lost me, Hasbro. Can someone point me to a panel?

They're Jhiaxus' troops from the Marvel G2 comics.

Bottoms up, Atari!

I've done Quintesson army building too, but have way more 3P Allicon's since the ER deluxe's aftermarket price (naturally) rose until troop building with it is no longer worth it large scale, so choosing it over a Sharkticon was a great call AFAIC.

All the debate over whether this Seeker's different enough from TC really makes me miss Zobovor's old site; he could analyze that particular issue way more thoroughly than any other fan or TFWiki. The frustrating part is that even if it is different enough, it begs the question: are we ever going to get as many different repaints of the ER Starscream mold as Classics Starscream got, legit and KO? And if so, how many of us might actually devote the space and cash necessary to collect them all someday, especially if, like me, they already have most of the Classics Seekers? (Pretty sure I only lack the Games of Deception trio, unless there's some obscure same-size decent quality KO I'm unaware of)

I guess my point is, I'd be more excited about ER Air Warrior too. Could it be that Hasbro's decided that shade of purple is now Slipstream's color scheme, and won't slap it on a G1-CHUGenerations Seeker until they tweak the mold a bit to give us a female Seeker ripe for army buildin'?

But speaking of excited, I doubt anyone here is more excited for that Skullgrin retool than me! I really hope that it's deemed the most obscure and least desirable of the bunch, and floods Ebay as soon as this is released, even if that risks sending Hasbro the wrong message about revisiting that particular well in the future. I need to throw the rest of my custom Cybertronians up on Transtopia sometime.

All in all, looks like this should be Target's Buzzworthiest 4-pack to date! Not that they can't try to top it down the road.

The only thing that I might consider is the Queintesson Trooper, and honestly I already have as many Earthrise Alicons as I can fit. More for someone else.

The Troop building set is a neat idea, the Earthrise Allicon was hard to get so it's nice that another version has been included. I'm tempted to get this for the Autotrooper and the G2 guy, but as with many troop building sets I'm guessing it'll be hard to come by because people will buy multiple of them.

the seeker throws me too . i know theres precedent in the cartoon but to many its just too close to thundercracker. hopefully as others have said its a pic quality issue.

but i NEVER thought we'd get a second generation cybertronian trooper.

actually wish he was a stand alone so i could surround Jhiaxus with em, and has got me wondering who else could be retooled for a jet version

Only keen on two if the figures in the set. I don't have any earth mode jets other than ss86 starscream yet and not really wanting a generic before having the main jets.

I'm definitely not interested in multiples of the trooper box set though so for me, it's kind of lost in what it aims to be. Shame the voyager loses out on including an alt head too. I might be more inclined to pick up skull grin and use him as a secondary jiaxus troop.

If it were a smaller set, I might have bought 3 so I could have two Autotroopers with the blue visors, and one with the red visor. As it is though, I'll definitely get one copy, and maybe see about waiting for a sale to see if I get any more

Well it's a clever way to mitigate the fact that it's another repaint/remold bundle of figures that most people have already. They've embraced it, though maybe they should have called it the "Army Builder" pack ;). I doubt I'll pick this one up since I've reviewed pretty much all these figures in their original form. You can't deny that's a good deal though, especially in this time of non-existent inflation (that actually DOES exist).

Some of the characters have very little change, if any in-between films, yet they still get additional toys from other films. Not sure why Hasbro didn't just change the deco slightly on Grimlock, then give the Buzzworthy release a new number and call it TLK Grimlock.
